Dear Pals,

Please pray for all the Victorians here in Australia

who have lost their homes, their relatives, friends and animals

in the worst bushfire since 1983.

So far over 700 homes and 65 lives have been lost....and still counting.

It is expected that once the fires cease the count will exceed 100.

After a week and a half of hot weather we had

our hottest day on record yesterday 47 degrees C (115.7 F).

The dryness and drought

was to much for the land to bare and fires roared across our state in over ten areas.

People were trapped and died in cars as they tried to escape the flames.

Whole towns have been wiped out.

The cool change that eventually came did not bring any rain

but instead brought wind and lightning that only

made matters worse.

Pray for all the firefighters and the volunteers who are out there

fighting the flames and risking their lives.
