Advanced Basic: Take 2
Well, my class is over. My mommies decided that it would be best if I repeated this class. They want to make sure that I am really comfortable with all the things I learned. I had some trouble with the one-minute sit and stay and the three-minute down and stay. Now, at home, I can do these things like a champion. The problem is doing it in the class with all the people and all the dogs and all the smells.
I also need to get a little better at heeling. Most of the time, I do it quite nicely, but sometimes my nose just seems to take over and I start following it around instead of my mommy. So, I'm going to take it again in December with Pepper.
Capital Dog Training Club
I'm almost finished my advanced beginner course at the Capital Dog Training Club in Silver Spring, Maryland. This class has helped me and my moomies so much on our walks and with the crucial reliable recall. Last weekend, I negotiated a short course (with some turns) basically off leash.
I really enjoy training.
