My husband brought home this TINY puppy.  She was found in a parking lot.  It was late at night and I was sleeping w/ the window open.  I awoke to hear the crickets chirping and this happy little pup bouncing all over the bed, hence the name Cricket.  She couldnt have been more than 4=5 weeks old.  The next day her 3 other sisters were found.  We adopted the other 3 out, but Cricket and I had bonded on the first day. Being 1/2 shepard and 1/2 pitbull I call her my shitbull.  During her first year she chewed her way through 2 phones, 3 remotes, uncountable lamp cords and 2 sofa cusions.  She is very smart and was a breeze to house train.  I believe the pups were dumped when the owner relized they werent purebred. 

     Cricket had a rough start.  She has had surgery on both knees.  She now runs like the wind and loves to play in the creek or swim in the nearby lake.

Katie was a shelter rescue.  She was limping badly on one rear leg and couldnt use the other.  The vet was astounded.  He said he did not know how she could walk at all.  One knee had 2 completly torn ligiments and the other was hanging on by a thread.  Even whith all that pain all she wanted was to be loved and tired to play, waging her nub as hard as she could. 

After healing she really gets around.  She loves to play and cant get enough.  She is a true oaf.  She has no idea how big she is.  She jumps up on the couch and just plops down, even another dog is there, she thinks she can fit as if she was tiny.  She dosent know 110 pouns is not tiny.

Clark came w/ his dad from a rescue.  Thier parents split and couldnt/didnt want to take them.  Clark is the reason we got a sign that says "Caution dog can't hold his licker".  I can't believe how loud such a small dog can snore!  It's funny to see him boss around the rottie.

Kelly was resuced from a roach infested crack house.  She was three years old and had never been outside for any reason.  I guess she survived by eating garbage on the floor.  They were giving her crack and alcohol because they thought it was funny. 

It took her 2 weeks to go through withdrawl.  She had seizures, couldnt eat or sleep.

Life is good now totaly spoiled and the queen of the house.  We lost her companion of 12 years this year.  Monty was another rescue and he and Kelly were always together.  Monty had a stroke and is now resting in our back yard.  In Kelly's picture she is the long hair and Monty is the black hot dog.
