What a LIFE!!!

Whoa - things have been high speed for me!!!    I have been swimming at the lake - well - wading- then mom grabs my front paws and walks me in deep and lets go and I'm forced to "jub boat" my way back to shore.  This past weekend there were some cute little kids to play with - so I Jub boated my way over to them - and their parents looked a little afraid until I gave the kids my lick/seal of approval.  I love playing with everyone at the lake!!!   We've also had some new human additions to the family - Grandma moved in and my cousin who is 8 human years old and doesn't leave me alone.  She thinks I'm a horse (not a human) and tries to sit on me and ride me all the time!  I never get a minute of peace with that kid around - but its ok - she's kind of wearing on me and I kind of love the hugs and kisses she gives me all the time.  I think the bus driver must wonder when she smooches me right on the lips before she hops on the bus in the a.m.    My grandma is also a great sleeping buddy - she naps a lot and I lay on the couch with my head in her lap and we snore together.  (people say both of us snore - but - me...THE JUB snore?   BE SERIOUS!!!)  Well - back to finding a cool spot in front of the AC for me - hugs and licks to all!!! ....The Jub...

Mom's still a slacker!

So - mom's back in school and my 2 legger sister has been sick...  and my 2 legger brother no has his own wheels and can take me to the woods.  Every time he says byebye car - I'm there waiting!  Brother has to realize that i'm human too and how dare he try to make me get in and out of the tailgate of his truck.  I will get in the backseat and hop in to the back of his truck - but how rude of him to think that I should belittle myself and get out of the back of the vehicle like some common .....  beast...    I've been spending my days taking care of my sick sister - keeping her warm and making sure she gets up once in a while.  She thinks I'm being mean and making her let me out - but I know its for her best to get her to move around a little.  This rainy weather has been horrible, but at least I have mom trained!  I go outside, come back it and wait in front of the washer.  She knows thats her cue to get a towel and dry me off.    It took some time, but I think she's finally getting it.  Who'd have thought that you could train a human to do such things?    Well, back to napping on my couch - typing with these paws of mine wears me out!  Happy almost spring!!!

Mom's a slacker

Mom should have been letting me get online and post but nooooooooooooooo....   all she did was take 3 college finals...   get pneumonia...and start year end close at work..... all while all these wonderful things were happening to me...your friend the Jub - like Mommy and her friend were baking cookies - and they put the chairs in around the dining room table so I couldn't get to the dough (I am polite - will only go on the table if I can step up gracefully)....so ..I found my 2 legger sister's box of modeling clay and knocked it down off the shelf with my nose...then pushed it over to the table with my paws and made myself a step stool - unfortunately mom's friend caught me and thwarted my dough stealing effort!  THEN - the next week, mom and my brother and sister went out and came back with a REAL TREE!!!!  THEY brought a REAL TREE into the house!  I get yelled at for bringing poopy bunny ( my stuffed animal that I take outdoors and ..well ...has poop on him) and branches in the house.  The tree smelled so good that I did the JubJub butt wiggle shuffle!  Then - they took the tree and stood it up in the dining room window and put lights and things that looked like they'd be fun to chew on it!  I got scolded each time I tried to take one so I gave up on that and just looked at the millions of lights on the tree!  Then we went to grandmas house on Christmas Eve - OH BOY OH BOY ....I got to pee on the neighbors dog again!!!  I love peeing on that white yappy thing!  Then I ran all over grandma's yard and went in the house and laid on her bed.   I love sleeping in beds and I was a goodboy and didn't even try to eat her down comforter!!!  After we left grandma's house we went to Uncle Harry's house - mom left me in the car because Uncle Harry has a cat.  Right before we left mom let me out to pee.  I don't like all those bright lights and moving things in the yard - they just don't seem right to me - they put me on edge.  I haven't seen Uncle Harry since I was a pup so when he came out  - I thought he was a big guy trying to attack mom so I growled and barked in his face.  Uncle Harry backed up.  I must look pretty tough on my hind legs - I stand almost 6 ft tall.  Mom was pretty shocked - as I'm everyone's friend.  She walked me around a bit and I felt bad - I realized that Uncle Harry is a good guy!  I sat down in front of him and gave him the look - but that didn't work.  I laid down in front of him - and that didn't work ....I even crawled on the ground up to him - and THAT didn't work.  His wife told him to pet me - and he said - YOU pet him - he almost just took my head off!  I was just protecting my mom!  Maybe in the future Uncle Harry will see that and give me another chance.  Then - Christmas day - somehow SANTA snuck in the house..right by me!!!!!  .....  he left me toys and chewies and rawhide bones and all kinds of neat stuff - and best of all - WRAPPING PAPER AND BOXES!!!!  I love chewing wrapping paper and boxes!!!!!  My kids stayed home with me all week long and I got to cuddle in bed with my sister Sammy - then all too soon it was over and my kids went back to school!  What is that stuff - I want them home with me all day long - and that mom has been working long hours with what she calls year end closing stuff.    One bright spot is we got a load of wood delivered and its like having all new chew toys!!!  OH BOY OH BOY  - mom keeps telling me to stop eating the heat ....whatever that means.....  all I know is so many pieces of wood - so little time.  Mom should be happy - at least I'm not peeing on the wood..................   'til next time....as always...  your friend.....   JubJub

The mommy kite

Oh wow - yesterday a.m. I had to go potty so bad!  Mommy usually lets me out the front door on a long lead in the a.m. so I don't forget that I'm supposed to come back in and make her late for work. I went out slowly like usual - but then OH BOY OH BOY OH BOY .....  there was a bunny visitor and I took off after it .. *sniff sniff sniff*  I forgot mommy was standing inside the front door in her t-shirt and undies and the next thing I knew mommy was in the lawn "waterskiing" behind me in all of her glory at 5 a.m. yelling, "JubJub - STOP!!!"  I turned around and  there she was standing there looking a little shocked and cold.  I don't even think mommy hit the porch or steps - she landed right on the sidewalk!  I then realized she was still attached to me due to the weight I was now dragging.  (I think mommy must have looked like a kite as she sailed through the air!!!)  I was a nice boy and peed and strolled casually into the house - and mommy was laughing as she ran through the door to the woodstove to warm herself.  I jumped back into bed with mommy and cuddled her to let her know I didn't mean to make her a kite........

The Friends

The friends were over last night - oh - those girls wear such nice perfume!    I just love cuddling girls and sitting on their laps - but for some reason they don't seem to think my sitting on their lap is always the best thing!  Thanksgiving was a wonderful day - one word - TURKEY!  Turkey is great - I will do anything for turkey!  I sit - I lay down - I roll over - I leave it - oh turkey wonderful turkey and the weather has been so great that I have been outside a lot for days now.  I love this weather!  I come in the house and cuddle up on my mom and sister and love them and their blankies.  MMMMMM   Life is good for The Jub

Yeah Me!!!

Oh Oh Oh ....Mom bought me Royal Canin again.....  I LOVE THAT FOOD!   I can't wait 'til its time to eat - mom puts it out for me and it was gone in a flash.   I just sit by my bowl and wait for breakfast and dinner! 

 

Mom seems to not like me eating cd's and dvd's ....I just don't get it - they crunch so well!  Back to chasing my 2 legger sister around.. 'til next time - The Jub

Big Bird

Oh - the mom came home yesterday carrying a BIG BIRD!!!  I love birdies...I love birdies...  I thought they were suppsed to fly but this one was big and was in plastic with a handle  - but I could still smell it was a birdie!!!  WOOHOO  ...she must love me to bring such a big birdie in the house!!!  I can't wait to  play with it  - oh boy oh boy oh boy.   Other than that and hanging out on the couch protecting the house and finding a whole box of treats to eat..  nothing much else going on in the realm of "The Jub" 

It's Cold and Wet!!!!

I might be the man - but I don't like it cold and rainy!  I went out for a bit this a.m. - then thankfully my sister started a fire in the woodstove!  I sat up in front of the fire - back against the couch - basking in the glow.  My people made fun of me for sitting up "like a human" (as they call it) but it felt so good on my belly!!!!   I then curled up next to the stove.  Mom laughed at me and warned me about my whiskers.  She said something about not burning my whiskers off like I did last year - who remembers last year - I was a puppy!!!!  I think mom had another dog that used to lay between the woodstove and the wall - something about a GSP named Zeus who used to burn the whiskers off of his face daily.  I'm not as stupid as him - afterall  - I am THE JUB - and I don't think my body would fit between the wall and the woodstove if I tried!  Well - back outside for a brief run and a wee.   Then back in to see if I can steal food from somewhere!  Have a slammin' Saturday!!!  The Jub

I am the man!

Oh I had such a good day with my friends at Dr. T's office!!!!   I love it there!!!  I have but one problem - they don't seem to understand that it is ALL about The Jub!  They actually paid attention to other animals too - but I showed THEM a thing or two - HA - when they didn't pay attention to me - I gave them my sad face and whacked on the door until they came over - then I gave them some of the famous Jub Butt Wiggle action - it always kills the ladies - they can't resist the Jub Butt Wiggle......  Dr. T's husband even came out and said goodbye to me as I was leaving - he's a neat guy - always stops by to say hi to The Jub, but its those techs in the vets office that I love to see - boy oh boy!  One of the techs at the vet's office told mom that I am a breed of my own and that they love when I come to visit!  It was a fun day out but I missed my friends Sponge Bob and Blue ....  so I'm a bit tired.  ...  think I'm going to go curl up on the couch with mom's blankie and *yawn* ....  close my eyes  *yawn* and dream about all the fun I had today - The Jub

Brrrrrr

Its getting cold out here!!!!   Thank god I have mom to cuddle next to every night!   Mom said I'm going to visit my friends tomorrow!!!  I love going byebyes car - and I love the girls at Dr. T's office!!!  They love me too!!!!  I can't wait to see them...wooowooooooooooooooooo   I guess mom is taking me because of the green ooze in my eye.  It doesn't bother me - but it makes her and the 2 legger brother and sister say ewwwwwwwww every time they clean it!  Dr. T.  will know what to do!  She crawls on the ground with me and kisses me on the lips!  She just loves The Jub!  Mom's getting ready to go upstairs night night so I have to go - don't want to miss my spot on the bed!!!!   Night all!!!
