Lump's out. Stitches in! Ouch!
Mommy took me to the dreaded vet's office today for my surgery. I really hated seeing mommy leave without me and I cried! I had to get needles and medicine and sedated and I hated it all but I was a good boy. My vet is going to send the lump away for testing and then call mommy in a few days with the results. When mommy came to pick me up 6 hours later I was really groggy but very happy to see her. She gave me a long, gentle hug and lots of kisses on my forehead. Then we went home and mommy put a nice clean sheet on my comfy doggy bed in case I was still bleeding a little. She laid down with me and rubbed my head, neck and back for an hour. That helped me relax and I fell alseep.
I ate my green bean dinner and kept it down! Mommy took me out for a little while but I was really tired so I didn't feel up to walking far.
We came back in and mommy gave me more pain medicine b/c whining lets her know I don't feel well. I'm going up to bed with her soon and then I get another neck massage! Thanks for all the good wishes! Love, Sammy

We are glad your surgery is over. Please keep us up to date on the testing results. While you are recovering, make the most of it. Give your mom big puppy eyes and she will pamper you even more. If you are enjoying the extra attention, you can make it last longer by not letting on that you are feeling better (we have used this strategy and it works).
