Surprise Face Licker
Luckily, Rocky is not an avid face licker, but he likes to spring his tongue on you when you least expect it. A few weeks ago, I picked him up by his arms to stand him up for a moment. Somehow he knew my head was right above his and out whipped his tongue slathering doggie saliva all over my lips. Ewww! (Knowing he was a past poo eater, this was not pleasing.)
The Center of Attention
From the pictures posted, you can see Rocky is extremely curious... watching tv (animal planet dog shows), watching video games (I think he may have been a fan of Nintendo) and more... He loved to get in the middle of everything. I often found him sitting on my newspaper (that I am reading), napping on textbooks for classwork, relaxing on laundry that I am folding, sitting in suitcases that I am packing for a trip or boxes that I have prepared to pack for a move, waiting for an apple or banana slice when I was preparing a light snack. When I left for work, he was the first one I wished a "Have a great day" to and the first one I greeted when I got home (maybe he just wanted a cookie!) You name it, he was there.
Toys...cookies...naps...oh my!
When he was about a year and a half, we discovered his spectacular jumping ability. He loved to jump off of the floor, onto the dining table chair, and then onto the dining table... and then enjoy a freshly prepared meal.
Around that same time, we got him a new squeaking cat toy that was attached to a string. We found that if you moved the toy slowly across the floor, he would crouch down low on his front paws, happily wag his tail in the air, wait in this pose for what seemed like a good 5 minutes and then cunningly pounce.
After his full day of delicious food, treats and playtime, he would climb onto his neatly organized pillow, ruffle it up and take a nice little rest for the evening... excited about the fun things to come the next day (though I think it was really so he could have pleasant dreams about some of his favorite treats...hot dogs, snausages, pupperoni, apple slices, bananas, vanilla ice cream)!
He sure loved his self-discovered treats, playing with new toys and rearranging his things into a mess!
