I got Cricket as a gift on my 13th birthday.
She was the tiniest little Chihuahua I had ever seen, and the only one left of the litter of four. I was lucky enough to find such a magnificent color on a chihuahua--chocolate with tan and white markings.
Her eyes are also an odd color; olive green, which only adds to her overall uniqueness.
She has been my constant companion. She goes with me everywhere, including vacations, car rides, and out-of-state visits. She sleeps at my feet every night.
She is overweight, and I must admit it is mostly due to my "killing her with love" by feeding her table scraps, which I promptly stopped last year when I found she weighs 9 lbs. (Average weight for a Chihuahua is 4-5)
She has aggressiveness issues with strangers, and even people she's been socialized to. The only person she's never bitten (when touched or provoked) is me. She has to be muzzled when taken to the vet, and even then, they dislike seeing her.
However, her undying loyalty and love for me is something I would never trade for her friendliness towards others.

Molly's mother was half min-pin, half Chihuahua, and her dad was half Jack Russell, half Rat Terrier.
The birth was very complicated because of the larger size of the puppies, and the small pelvis of the mother...Molly was the second born, the runt of the litter, and the only female.
She was born in the wee hours of the morning on July 5th, fireworks still going off in the background. I was called to the home to assist with the birth because of the mother's troubles--the family was too poor to afford a vet.
The moment I saw her, I knew she was mine, and as the weeks dragged on, I longed to take my puppy home. She was sickly and weak, and her caregivers were neglectful, but to take her away from her mother at such a young age would've meant death for such a tiny puppy.
At four weeks old, Molly's mother developed Milk Fever, and Molly and her two siblings had to be taken away from her as to avoid further complications with the mother's health. It was August when I brought her home.
Cricket, my Chihuahua, quickly bonded with the little puppy, and she was housetrained within the first two weeks. She sleeps with me and Cricket every night, chews up everything in sight, and has the biggest bark in Central Kentucky.
She's my second little angel!

I'm signing off now, but if you need any help with posting these little glitter graphics we use here, posting pics on barks, or putting on a music player, just go to my page and send us an email. We will try to get back as fast as possible, usually in a few days and walk you thu it. This is a great place and we have a lot of fun being the 'voice' for our dogs. There is a little club called the Diva club, run by Astrid the Rottie. They hosted a virtual dance for the dogs and their dates last month and this month will do a Mardi Gras theme. Lots of fun. Enjoy!!!!
