Training??
So we are pretty new at this dog owning stuff. We had a dog (terrier/beagle mix) but for a short period of time because she was VERY hyper! We are researching training information and trying all that we learn. But it can be frustrating when we find confliciting ideas; for example when we are working on her nipping...some say don't play tug of war and others say do. If you have any suggestions.....!
She is a wonderful dog and the last few days have been wonderful as we add her to already crazy family! She has played hard and slept hard and eaten a large bone in two hours. She loves shoes and so do I so we are trying to find a middle ground.
We are so excited and look forward to this new adventure.
Blog Barks
Puppies can be very frustrating, yes! My 1st dog was a puppy when I got him and then when I got Cinnamon she was already 2 1/2. You'll just need patience. Know that eventually she will grow up! Is there any way you can take her to obedience class? I did that and it was nice to be able to ask the teacher questions. It was fun too and gets the dog socialized with other dogs so they like them and paly with them. You have to be consistent, too. It's really rough, but if you keep up with it and have the patience, she will be a great grown up dog!!

Congrats! I dont know what I would do without my four legged friends. They really complete our family. My husband and I took a class with one of our Pups that went through basic training. We learned alot and met some really great dog owners. If you have the time it can be alot of fun. Welcome to MDS. The people here are also great and happy to share ideas.
