Yes, Pablo has a long name - Pablo Allan Tuesday's-Taco Arlo Pancho.  Everyone who meets him, loves him & often donates to his name.  It may be that he sense exactly what each person needs & adapts to that need, revealing different layers of his personality, hence the need for multiple names. That's the story I tell anyway. 

Pablo is a rescue via a friend.  He was neglected at his first home.  My friend rescued him, but his wife had a snit fit (" You have to sleep in your truck until you get rid of that dog.") and he gave him to me.  I count myself blessed that the wife turned out to be such a witch.  Pablo is the best dog I have ever had.

One trait that has grown out of Pablo's neglected youth is that he can never eat enough food.  I'd call him food-obsessed.  It's like he doesn't trust that he will have another meal, so he wants to eat anything that is of an organic nature - scaps, cat poop, dog poop, half-rotten garbage on the side of the road, animal carcasses.  It can be quite disgusting.

Pablo isn't all that smart - he doesn't fetch or do tricks - but if you need a lap buddy or just a warm presence by your side, he knows exactly what to do.  One thing I'd love to encourage in him is how to play.  He once every blue moon gets whipped up & that sense of fun comes out, but it is too rare & too short.  He is quite serious.

Pablo's second-best friend (after me, of course) is One-Eyed-Jack, a cat that I got from the Humane Society who has, yes, one eye.  Pablo & Jack like to hang out together - cleaning each others' ears & face, curling up at the foot of my bed and...well.. humping.    Pablo has another best bud - Mogley, who is MY best-bud's dog.  Their favorite activity is to hump each other in the back seat of my friend's car.  Pablo is a bit confused, you see.

Pablo is my sanity & my sounding-board.  I live 1500 miles from my family, so he helps keeps me grounded & in-touch with the real world.
