Hi! I'm Olie, or at least I think. I'm often just called Dogbert. I'm a Golden Retriever, and everyone says I'm one of the biggest they've seen. I weigh 120 pounds! I'm lucky because I have two houses. Some days I get to run in the woods and chase animals and roll in smelly stuff. I get to go swimming there too, which I LOVE! Other days I hang out in an apartment with a bunch of cats, I call them the Cat Heads. They're pretty fun! Except that Louie... she doesn't like me very much. Anyhow, for fun I like to go swimming, go for walks in the redwoods with my mom, chew on rawhides- especially if they're not mine, and make sure our property is free of squirrels. I like to chase them up the trees. Then they laugh at me, which makes my mom laugh at me. One time I tried to chase away a skunk, that didn't go so good and I had to take a bath, then I didn't get to sleep with Mom and Dad that night. I also like to chew on my Marvin toy, and thanks to my friend Abigail, I also have a really fun rubber chicken that makes so much noise that it drives Mom and Dad crazy! It's my favorite! Now that I ate it's head off anyway...
I am also now the proud big brother of Ember, my new little Golden Retriever sister! We play LOTS. She's a real great lil pal to have around!

Hello! I'm NO Ember! I think that's my name anyway, that's what they usually call me. I just met my new Mom and Olie the other day. It was a real exciting day. I was with my sister and 2 brothers and this big awesome hulk of a Golden walked in, and it was love at first sight! We all were real curious and we played with him for a long time. He was getting real worn out, so I cuddled with him! Then I kept walking up to the human that he brought with him and making friends with her- she was real nice. So they brought me home! We were at this place that Olie calls the cabin. He immediately started teaching me how to play stick, and he showed me around, and showed me where I should go potty. We played and played for hours! Then Mom said I have to go in. IN??? What's that? So we went "in" and I found myself face to face with a bowl of puppy food and water! I like "in"!! I soon realized that "in" is not the place for potties. Olie taught me that. I spent the night "in" and slept so good! The next day we played some more, then we went to this place Olie calls the Cat House. We went "in" to this place, and I was face to face with 4 strange creatures, about my size, with slanted eyes and funny voices! And oh goodness- they jump so high! I hope I can jump like that someday. Olie called them the Cat Heads. They sniffed me, checked me out... we don't understand each other yet. One of them avoids me, one punches me everytime she sees me, and the other 2 want to be my friends but I'm too crazy and I bug them. Then Mom put this thing around my neck, and then this other thing around my belly, and before I knew it, I was attached to this long string! Mom kept putting it on me and bringing me and Olie to this spot outside, and everytime we went there, Olie would potty! It took me no time at all to learn to walk on what I found out is called a LEASH, and to potty outside! I still have accidents sometimes though, but I work real hard to learn. Olie's one smart dude. I don't know how I ever would have gotten thru or understood all these experiences that I've had so far without Olie. He's my hero and the best big brother I could ever ask for. We spend hours just walking around, chatting, chasing, playing stick, and doing Doga! He's teaching me everything I need to know about being a Golden Retriever- even how to chew a leash! After a few days home with this new family, I met this guy that Olie says is HIS hero, and we call him Daddy! He's real fun, we took a nap together and I chewed on his arm. Anyhow, I'm Ember, and I'm real excited to be part of this new family.

Profile Barks
OUR CAMPING TRIP!!!
We went camping with mama this week! We have never been and neither had mama. There was soo many things to smell, taste, and see. Banjo and I wish you could have come with us. This first picture is of mama hugging sweet lil Sophie-Lu
That's on the first day. You can tell cause mama still looked relatively well put together and her hair wasn't an awful mess. The next picture is us after it started to get dark. Notice how Banjo's eyes look glassy and beady. Like he just might turn into one of those bats we saw flying all aroung.***giggles***This was taken before mama put us in the tent for bed.
Most of the day was spent relaxing and planning our next feeding. Mama and daddy ate steak tips, breakfast burritos, BURRRR GERRRRS (my favorite) So here is Banjo and I after eating BURRRGERRRS
It gets chilly in the woods like that so Banjo and I moved to one chair. That way we could be together and stay warm. We are best friends ever!
