Minnie's Mom passed away

Hi pals.  It’s a sad day for us today.  I’ve told some of you about my friend Minnie.   She’s a little 11-year old shi-tzu that lives next door to our cabin.  She’s a real cool little dog and a good friend of mine.  Her original mom died a few years ago, and that’s how she came to live next door to me.  Well her new Mom got real sick a few months ago, and she passed away on Saturday, so Minnie lost another Mom.  I had a hard time figuring out what was going on.  Minnie’s Dad, Bob, came over earlier in the day and asked Mom and Dad to go over there and sit with her while he walked Minnie.  I normally bark when they go next door without me, but this time, I knew something was wrong, so I behaved and just paced up and down the driveway.  Pretty soon, Bob and Minnie came walking by and said hi to me like they always do.  Then they went home and Mom and Dad came back and they seemed real sad.  A couple hours later, Bob came over crying and said she had passed away.  She had real bad cancer that was untreatable.  Everybody was real sad and Minnie seemed lost.  She’s a real Momma’s girl.  Mom and Dad say that Bob will keep her and take care of her and she’ll be just fine and she can still be my friend.  Mom says that Minnie has been a real blessing through this whole experience.  She makes people smile and gives them something to watch and laugh at, at times when you don’t know what else to say.  I’ll try to get Mom to get a picture of her to show you, because she’s a real special little girl.  Anyway, I just wanted to tell you about her.  Mom and Dad are sad about her Mom but they say it’s a relief that she’s not suffering anymore.
