Hi MDS friends!!! haven't posted in a long time but the thing is that our internets are slow over here, and my paws hurt from all our outings and all my walking around... so i'm having my mom type this up for me...

Yesterday we went to the beach, and it was so much fun!! mommy was silly and forgot my leash, but she held me and then i sat like a good girl on the chaize long with her, we relaxed and i got to walk on the sand for a little bit...

there were lots of people to protect mommy from, but she kept shushing me :(

we had a blast, mommy is gonna post some pics on my site soon...

Make the Sexual Abuse of Animals Illegal in Florida

While 34 states make bestiality a crime, the sexual abuse of animals remains legal in Florida. The sexual abuse of animals is not only cruel but also an indicator of other violent and sexually deviant crimes. A study published in 2002 found that 96% of juveniles who had engaged in sex with nonhuman animals also admitted to sex offenses against humans. Because bestiality is legal in Florida, prosecutors are unable to address this cruelty.

Fortunately, legislation (S.B. 744/H.B. 1227) has been introduced to make the sexual abuse of animals a crime in Florida.

Please contact your state senator, Anthony Hill, and state representative, Charles McBurney, to express your support for S.B. 744/H.B. 1227.

TAKE ACTION

Please make a brief, polite phone call to Representative McBurney at (850) 488-4171 and Senator Hill at (850) 487-5024 to urge support for legislation to make the sexual abuse of animals illegal.

When making your call, you will likely speak to a staff member who will pass your message along to your legislator. Remember to be polite and professional, and leave your name and address so it is clear that you are a constituent.

You can say:

"Hello, my name is [your name] and I am calling from [your town] to ask [legislator's name] to support S.B. 744/H.B. 1227 to make the sexual abuse of animals illegal in Florida. 34 states make this a crime and Florida needs to join them. Thank you."

After making your calls, please send a follow-up email to your legislators in support of legislation to make the sexual abuse of animals a crime in Florida.
And please don't forget to tell your friends and family in Florida how they can take action, too.

Do you bark when someone knocks at your door? Yes i do, and also if someone walks by mommy's  room...

Do you sleep on your owner’s bed at nightime?

Yup, i certainly do... in fact i steal mommy's pillow at nite (bwahahaha!)

Are you mischievous? um... i try not to... but i can't help it sometimes... but most of the time i'm really good

Would Cesar Milan be proud of your owner or would have a few things to say? ummmmmmm... i think he'd have somethings to say... but we're working on them... (walking on the leash nicely, not barking, and don't tell mommy i told on her on that whole humanizing the doggie thing... )

Do you have a best friend to play with? only mommy right now, i have some doggie friends but i don't see them too often, i have a chi friend that i like a lot, her name is Shana and a frenchie i like her name is Emma... Zack and Quincy i like also... but last time i didn't really play with them...

Do you get excited and jump around when your parent(s) arrive home or do you remain calm and cool? very excited, i give mommy hugs and kisses, and when daddy comes to visit mommy, i always pee... (oopsies) i'm getting better at holding it though...

Does your Mom (or Dad) leave the tv or radio on when they have to leave you at home alone? yes, mommy tries, but grandpa always complains that the electric bill will come too high... so he turns it off... but mommy is buying me a cd that she saw online and playing it when she leaves...

Do you like other dogs besides your pals? usually, unless they invade my space...(i.e stroller)

Do you like cats? well... i haven't met one "in canine" but i saw one while mommy was holding me and i wanted to go chase after it

What is your most unique habit/characteristic?

I like to run zoomies in the house with my toys, and i love to play tag, and tug of war... i don't mind having t shirts and clothes put on, in fact i'm all for it, i love getting all done up to go places... i love attention and it's the reason i bark...(mommy says: i know i know, we're working on it)

What is your favorite thing to do with your Mom or Dad? go places with them, i love it when they take me out... and i love to go to the doggie events and stuff... and getting all the attention from the humans...

What proves that you are the alpha in your house (that you have Mom/Dad wrapped around your paw)? um... i sorta pull on my leash (at least til mommy goes: "shht") and everyone is wrapped around my paw, except for my uncle Jack, he doesnt like me... but i'll keep trying... as soon as i pull a toy out, everyone plays with me --they have to, i'm very persistent, i will keep bringing it back when they toss it, and then coerce them into playing tug with me [bwahahah!]

Today is Mommy's B-day, (Yay Mommy!!)

so i'm giving her lots of extra kisses when she gets home, because she still had to go to work and school today, even though it is her bday...lucky me, i didn't have to do anything on my bday...oh wait! i never have to do anything... (except be good to mommy of course...)

Hi everyone!!! so in my short life, i have moved (1) from the breeder's to mommy's house, (2) from mommy's house in Orlando, to our house in Weston, and now (3) from weston to aventura... but i'm having a hard time getting used to it, mommy's a little worried, granted it's only been a day, and everything is all jumbled...but i haven't been myself since yesterday, and i didn't sleep too well... mommy is coming home a little later so that makes me very happy =D she said we're going on a great walk...

this morning we went to walk and we were expecting something different, the building has a potty spot, but no real "walk" so we're gonna go walk on the side walk, it has a nice view...

i guess as the days go on we'll get on a new routine, and we'll get used to this new place... it's a nice room, new furniture, but it's a little strange and new for me, so i'll keep you updated on how i'm doing

btw yes, i have all my toys, mommy is getting me a new den, bc we don't want my old one to scratch the new floors, but she wants to get me a little house/bed thingy

does anyone have any advice for us???
