Well...where should I start?  I was born in Harlan, Kentucky.  A shelter down there was going to kill my mom and seven siblings, a wonderful lady, don't know who she was, called several shelters from Kentucky to Wisconsin and asked if they could take any of us.  A place in Racine, WI, H.O.P.E. Safehouse, said that they would take a few of us because they were not set up to take a lot.  So they ended up taking 94 of us all together, there were 2 trips.  So HOPE asked my foster mom to take us, mom, Amber, and my siblings and me, Ashberry, A.J., Audrey, Arliss, Atlas, Aurora (me), Africa, and Abu.  I was the runt, so small compaired to everyone else.  My foster mom decided that she would keep me a long time before she actually adopted me, we were only 3 weeks old when we arrived.  We were really sick to, worms (gross), diarrhea, ring worm, and mom had a girl problem.  Atlas was the first to leave, she was adopted by a vet tech named Joy, who has now named her Sugar Bear, then Arliss was adopted by Carol, who changed his name to Buster.  Ashberry was adopted by JoAnn and changed her name to Bella (because she is BEAUTIFUL!!).  Audrey was adopted by a wonderful family with 2 kids, they changed her name to Ruby.  Africa was adopted by Michelle and her new name is Egg.  Abu (BooBoo) was adopted by a wonderful family with 2 girls, her new name is Lilly (which really fits her).  A.J. (they didn't change his name) left last, I miss him so much, he was adopted by a wonderful couple who have another dog from HOPE Safehouse.  My mom, Amber, is with a wonderful man, he is also a police officer who adopted another dog from HOPE when they did the Hurricane Katrina rescue, he was very shy and scared, until my mom got there!! Now he protects her and his family.  Then there is me, I was adopted by my foster family.  We have 4 cats and 3 kids.  I love to play with the kitties!!  But there is only one that will play with me, all the others run away from me!! (I don't know why!)  I am so glad that HOPE saved us from what could have been a very sad situation.
