Hi Sophie and Banjo. How did you do with the fireworks? We weren't afraid but we didn't like them very much - there was a party across the street and they were lighting some off and on and all day, but the real noise came from the clubhouse in our neighborhood where they had a show that lasted for over an hour. We were okay as long as we stayed together. Usually we follow Mom around the house one after the other, like a parade. Yesterday and last night we followed her side by side - she said we looked like a team of horses ready to pull a cart, whatever that means. It sure was hard to relax, and impossible to sleep.

Hiya Banjo-Bee, Sophie-Lu and Nadia, I hope you had a great time yesterday despite the fireworks. My late sister, Cherokee hated them. She used to stay under the bed for the entire celebration.

Mommy's bro-in-law had a bbq yesterday and he made a lot of people food. I used my "look" and got lotsa treats. Burgers, which are always yummy, chicken that tasted smokey, and something they called "ribs". OHMYDOG, RIBS! Mommy won't let me have the bones but people treated me to the meat. People food is excellent.

Happy Indepawdence Day.  We is sneeky on da puter cuz mommy is buzy fur a few minets.  Oh no I (Sable) donut fink Iz weady fur today! Dem poppers scarez me weelly bad turribl...I donut eben likez fur to go to da out to go potty. Mommy or Daddy habs to draggded me to da out. So I fink I will jus be staying behind de couch or under de bed until all dem poppers stop. But here dem poppers jus keep a goin anna goin a week before and about a week afer. Dey last FUREVER! OOOOHHHHH MMMEEEEE what am I going to do? Mebbe I iz gonna move to where da poppers donut be allowed.

Happy Furth Ebbybody, I (Chi) donut care less bout dem ol' poppers. I bark alot ifn dey are weelly loud. But udder dan dat I will jus play wif my bo-bos and take da naps in dad's chair. Sable iz jus a big babay. But Iz has notice dat she gets lotsa more tenshion when she acteds dat way. HHHMMM...mebbe I shouldaoughta acteds dat way.....more lubbies and tenshion...yep mebbe Sable's got sumfin dere.
