Hi & woof, woof!
Shadow & I just wanted to stop by & wish you a Happy St. Patrick’s Day!! We haven’t been on MDS much lately because Shadow had surgery on her paw. We found out she is going to be just fine, but had to wait for biopsy results to find that out. She had a bump that turned out to be caused by a bacteria that got under her skin. We are just so relieved it isn’t cancer!!!

It was a long week since a few days after the surgery, even thou she was wearing a Comfy Collar so she couldn’t get at the wound, several of the stitches came open. Vet thinks it was because it is near her knee joint &  also when she hears a noise or someone she knows, instead of just walking..... SHE BOLTS full speed ahead!!! So she got herself put on Benedril every 8 to 12 hours to help keep her a little quite & sleepy (worked wonders). Plus, she is being confined to just one room with the door closed whenever someone is with her. That part she IS NOT liking. The stitches that broke open were replaced by 4 staples. She didn’t even wince once when they were put in!! She is absolutely terrified of the vet but doesn’t mind shots! They didn’t even numb up the area. Originally they thought they would have to put her back under like they did during the surgery, but she did great!!

Hi, It’s me Shadow!!

I sure been missing all my friends here at MDS!! Auntie Kit had computer problems then last Monday, I had surgery on my paw. I had a small bump on it so I gots taken to the vet & put to sleepy, then when I’s wake up and bumpy all gone!! I gota where a “Comfy Collar” sometimes, but not to much as long as I leave the bandage over where they bumpy was alone. I try really, really hard to do this cuz even thougth it’s not one of those hard old fashioned cone collars, I still not like the “Comfy Cone” to much. I goes back to get my stitches out on March 12th... YIPPEE! Hope everyone is getting a good night sleep & will have tons of fun tomorrow!
