Zeus was our family's second dog. After adopting Izzy from the shelter, we realized how much she loved other dogs and decided she needed a playmate. We looked and looked for the perfect dog for our family but with having no luck. It had been routine for us to take Izzy to the dog park frequently and it was there that we ran into Zeus and his mom, dad and siblings. As I was making conversation with the beagle family owners, they told me that all of these puppies were up for adoption. As I looked around for Izzy, I saw that she was carrying a tiny little beagle puppy by the back of his neck in her mouth as she was heading to the door of the park. How perfect for us! Izzy chose her own best friend and he soon wiggled his way into not only her heart, but ours as well.

Zeus is now getting older and we were never really prepared for such a young puppy. It was tough teaching him manners and showing him how things need to be done. And although we arent as tough as we should be, I'm proud to say that as he gets older he also is becoming such a wonderful dog. He's always getting in trouble and always wants to push as many boundries as he can. For the most part, it can be irritating but at the same time the antics he pulls are hilarious and brings joy into our hearts.

We chouldnt ask for a better, sweeter dog :)  

When we first found Izzy, she was sitting outside of the shelter in their play area. When we walked into the yard, all the dog gathered around us except her. She sat on top of the bench, watching us. She didnt make any movements nor did she even seem excited to see us. At first, she intimidated me because of her hard stare. I wasnt sure if she was nice or mean and to be honest, I wasnt really interested in her. However, my boyfriend had his eye on her and told me that he wanted her. I told him no.

We left that day without a dog but came back about 2 weeks later and she was still sitting there on the same bench.  That day I gave hera chance and decided we could have her. We took her home that way and didnt quite realize that we had actually got a dog. She was a peculiar dog. When we got home she didnt really seem interested in anything or us. She sat in the corner and went to sleep. It took days to warm her up to us but when she finally did, she emereged into the sweetest, most thoughtful dog we could have ever imagined.
