Little Mira`s sick!

Hey friends!

My poor little Mira is sick. We went to the vet 3 days ago, because of a bold spot on her leg. It turned out to be a parasite infection caused by mange. Now shes on antibiotics and Ivermectin. She also has to take baths two times a week with a special shampoo.

Shes not in pain, just a bit more stressed than usual.The vet said it could take 6 to 8 weeks until shes fully recovered. I just hope she will feel better soon, so that we can go to the dogpark to play with her friends again.

Sorry to hear your not feeling well.

Little Gabriels not feeling well either.

Mom took him to the vet and took his manly hood away.

I remember when she did it to me.

I didn't feel well either.

Why did mom do this to us.

We will never know.

We is sorry yew is sik. Our Poppa hailped a collieboy whut had sarcoptic mange, dat dog wuz nekid like a Chinee Crested only werse becuz he wuz a collie. Yew wail get bedder, no pawroblem butts we hasta tail yew, its time fur yew to play da sik card and gets lotsa gud fuds and *T*R*E*A*T*S*...betcha din' nose whut Pizza-Bones is bery bery gud fur sik doggies...yew shud tail yer Momma whut tew gibs yew lotsa Pizza and Roast Beest whut tew make yew all bedder...who noses, she might eben beleeb yew! uhoh, Poppa's comin and he nose ta truff, sew we bedder go befur he sees us spureaddin' da Pizza Bones fikshun.

I'm sorry you don't feel well Ivermectin works very well. Many years ago mom had to give it to her first rescue. What Tina said is very true too. Fish oil is amazingly great for all kinds of ailments. There are fish oil capsules, but dont laugh, I have been eating salmon and tuna (shrimp too but that doesn't have the oil content) since I was your age. I love it so much you'd think I was a cat! I had a much older Rat Terrier sister who was a diabetic, and her vet who believed in human foods told mom to feed her salmon ( and a zillion other things too!) Dixie had a very short life expectancy... she was sick since she was 5, well Dixie lived until she was 15! Since then all of the mom's puppers have gotten a diet with lots of fish oil, and other high protein and high fiber foods. I am over 10 now, and so far have never been sick. Give it a try lil sis!

Sorry to hear she is sick. Nutrition is very very important right now, to get her immune system strong. Heal her from the INSIDE and OUTSIDE! Is she on a good, holistic food? Do you give her fish oil? tina (also in BR, FL)!
