Hiya Midnyte, Moose and Mila, Dakota here.

Well, I'm home. Visiting over at Elise and Jeff's home was ok. They have 2 standard poodles, Mojo and Sam, who are pretty nice, but they obviously like each other better than me. I only got occasional attention from them, I mean, what's the deal? I'm a diva! Elise and Jeff recently re-sodded their backyard and Mojo and Sam must like it a lot since they pee there all the time. They also have this machine which throws balls for us to fetch. We are supposed to bring back the balls to the machine and put them in a basket which feeds them to the throwing part. Over and over. You gotta be kidding.

My cat mate, Sophia, seems to be very fond of drinking from the bathroom faucet. Every time mommy turns it on, Sophia comes racing into the bathroom and jumps onto the sink to drink. I think she's addicted. Mommy has to close the bathroom door each time she wants to wash her hands. Cats.

Hiya Midnyte, Moose and Mila, I hope you had a great time yesterday despite the fireworks. My late sister, Cherokee hated them. She used to stay under the bed for the entire celebration.

Mommy's bro-in-law had a bbq yesterday and he made a lot of people food. I used my "look" and got lotsa treats. Burgers, which are always yummy, chicken that tasted smokey, and something they called "ribs". OHMYDOG, RIBS! Mommy won't let me have the bones but people treated me to the meat. People food is excellent.

Wattya doing for the 4th of July? Goin' out? Stayin' home?

For the 4th, we go over to my mommy's sister's house in Queens, NY for the traditional BBQ. Hubby Mel is an excellent griller and his selection is traditionally burgs, dogs (not canine of course) and chicken. The rest of us visitors bring the salads, macaroni, and so on. As you know, good doggy behavior means no stealing of food nor pestering guests and I have been trained to be good in that way, but I have developed an appearance which gets me many treats from the guests. I think you should  practice this look...

No need to steal with this kisser.
