Watch at the Gopher Hole
Well the little fella doesn't seem to want to go anywhere no matter how much Murphy digs for him. Came home for Lunch and Wow what a big mound in the yard.
I let the furkids out to potty and Murphy was intrigued to say the least.
I least now it is confirmed, we have a gopher.
Any ideas of catching him? We don't want to kill him, mom is just to soft when it comes to any living thing. Besides we can't do poison or any drastic like that, cause the furkids might get into it. Mom wants to catch it and let it go in a field.

We have moles in our yard. Nickey and the gang will dig the whole yard up looking for them.

Oh, I bet I'd LOVE gophers! When I lived in AZ, we had what they called prairie dogs. I don't know why, they didn't look like dogs at all. I could see them off in a distance and I just loved watching 'em! Sorry, guys, I have no idea how to get your gopher gone, but we're with your mom.....DON'T HURT HIM!

Oooo we do not get gophers in this country..but we get moles!!! and they are as clever as your gophers!!!!!...oh yeah you can lay traps, put sound waves down..and back they come!!!!, black mounds of earth everywhere!!! Tessa UK

Also there are gopher sound stakes that send out ultrasonic waves that are supposed to chase the varmints away...but if they're brave enough to stick around with you four hanging out, don't know if they'll work.

Try asking at the hardware store for humane traps, then you can catch and release them somewhere else. I dont know for sure that they work for gophers but they work for other rodents so you could maybe give it a try.
