Mugsy Crossed the Bridge

Mugsy crossed over the rainbow bridge on August 27, 2008

He was a part of our lives for a long time and was very special to us.

Our lives will not be the same with him gone but there are many happy memories of a lovable, smart little guy who gave us lots of fun, happiness and love.

Mugsy was 16 years old and was blind and deaf the last year of his life. He slowed down a lot this last year and very peacefully passed away in the night. It was a blessing that he went without pain and in his sleep. He's now across the bridge where Bootsy greeted him and they are running, jumping barking and playng in the field where he can see all the flowers and birds that he loved to chase. And where he can hear Bootsy barking at him "Come on Mugs, lets Play!"

Mugsy's Crown and Prince fit him very well, he was our little prince!

Watch at the Gopher Hole

Well the little fella doesn't seem to want to go anywhere no matter how much Murphy digs for him. Came home for Lunch and Wow what a big mound in the yard.

I let the furkids out to potty and Murphy was intrigued to say the least.

I least now it is confirmed, we have a gopher.

Any ideas of catching him? We don't want to kill him, mom is just to soft when it comes to any living thing. Besides we can't do poison or any drastic like that, cause the furkids might get into it. Mom wants to catch it and let it go in a field.

Tucker's procedure went well

I am home! and you wouldn't know I had anything done except for the occasional licking the surgery site! (he he). but I try to do it when mom's not watching. The vet told her if I lick too much to put tabasco sauce around the incision. What does that mean???? I am trying not to lick. I heard dad say Tucker won't like that.

Fourth of July

Oh my, Mom and Dad are sitting for Granddogs Marley and June. We tried to get pictures, this one only has Marley, Lucy, Tucker and Murphy, it's really hard to get us all. 7 of us!

Well anyway, we know who is afraid now and who is not. Marley (border collie) posed for pic, but is scared to death of the fireworks, Tucker is scared and June is scared, but Leroy, Murphy, and Lucy seem to tolerate them.

Leroy Brown has Arrived

This is Leroy Brown, he will be living with us for a while, maybe as long as a year. We had Leroy for 4 months when he was a puppy until his daddy got a place to live that would allow dogs.

Well Daddy is off to work on a pipeline that starts in Illinois and goes

north to Wisconsin and I am moving in with grandma Marcia for awhile.

So you may be seeing alot of my face on MDS now too. In this one I have a dirty nose. I was fishing at the creek with my daddy.

I am a daschsund like Murphy and a bundle of energy. Murphy and I are very good friends. I was living with grandma when Murphy came home for the first time, and I was a very good pupsitter for him. I wouldn't let him leave my site. Now he is bigger than me! But we are really great pals and love playing together. We got each other's backs!

Lucy is Two Years Old Today!

Today, June 23, 2008 is Lucy's Yappy Birthday! We can't believe she is already two years old. Just seems like yesterday we brought her home so tiny and delicate, we were afraid we would break her she was so tiny. She is still small, but we wouldn't call her delicate, she holds her own. "You Don't Mess With Lucy" just ask Murphy and Tucker.

Tuckers First Haircut

Well Tucker had his first haircut today. He didn't like it at all but now that it is all over, he seems more comfortable. Mommy cut it and considering all the wiggling and waggling, its not too bad. We can see his face now!

QUEEN Lucy Crowned Disco Queen at MDS Pawty queen

Lucy and her family would like to thank everyone for honoring her by crowning her Disco Queen at Munch and Chewies Pawty!

We had a blast and joining MDS was the best thing we ever did!

We love meeting all the new furiends and going to Pawties. It is sooo much fun. You are all Queens and Kings in our book!

Speaking of Kings. Lucy is in love with Peco! (her King at the event) We also feel priveledged for having met each and every one of you. And not only the fun, but the support we get from everyone when you "just need someone to talk to".

And the Winner Is.......

......Wasn't Us!

But, we sure had fun. Murphy and his cousin Leroy are both under a year and they grouped them by age so they were in the first heat, they both crossed the net and were disqualified.

Oh Well maybe next year.

The winner of the length contest was 35 inches and Murphy came in 2nd at 32 inches. But they only gave a prize for first.

So we aren't in any of the Winner pictures. But they are all winners in our books! Don't you just Love it! It was a lot of fun. We're going into training for next year!
