The Sweet Life
Can you believe I’m almost a year old?!!! Mom can not believe How big I am!! 25lbs!! She says it makes my name a little less ironic than when I came home at 4lbs. I have settled into my house and routine quite splendidly.
I don’t have to be crated any more because its warm out, and Mommy can keep me in the California room. I’ve done great with potty stuff, but I’ve chewed the curtains in there a couple times. And at night I sleep under Mommy’s bed. She thinks that’s great.
Oh my goodness!!! I can’t believe I haven’t told you yet!!! I’m white now!!! All my hair grew out, and I only have a little brown on the tip of my tail after my last grooming appt. Mommy has taken me to 3 different groomers because I’m so bad for them. I swear I just want to play, but I bite the scissors, and roll on my back so I can kick, and in December the lady had to keep evening my hair out everytime I made her make a mistake, and by the end of it, I was practically shaved!!! Mommy thought it was the worst thing in the world- I looked like a naked mole-rat!!! But now she found a great groomer that feeds me carob treats while she cuts my hair, and she likes that I’m “spunky” – although Mom says that’s her nice way of saying “bad”.
I haven’t really learned any new tricks, I speak sometimes, and I will “stop” and ”stay” when we are walking. Right now they are trying to get me to stop jumping on people when they walk in my house. I don’t do it to Mommy and Daddy anymore, because they won’t look at me while I’m jumping, only if I sit down next to them, then they pet and talk to me. But if someone comes into the house and gives me any attention, I’m jumping and barking and acting like a maniac. I just LOVE attention. Mom’s gonna make me stop all that soon though, so I better get my kicks now while I still can.
Other than that, things have been pretty normal. I’m a great dog, livin’ the life.
