My Blog Entry
A day in the life...
Oh! I have so much to tell you about my past 2 weeks!I came home on Thurs. instead of Fri. because Mom just could not wait any longer for me. All night long we played and ate and went outside! She’s crazy.
Friday I had to go to work with her because she didn’t want me crated all day long. Her job has tons of tiny people there with little sticky hands, and they all wanted to pet me. I put on such a good show for them!! I licked each one of their faces, and ran around playing and untying their shoes. They loved me, and when they all laid down on their weird little mats, I thought I should sleep too, so I cuddled up to one of the girls. Mom broke out the camera for that.
I went potty only outside for the first 2 days, but by sunday, I got this great idea that I could just go wherever I am. I don’t have to walk outside and get my feet wet on the grass. Splendid!! I don’t get a treat or praise when I go inside, but I’m not the least bit phased. Now when Mom takes me outside, I can just run and play without wasting time pooping!
Oh- and that Verdicai cat-sister I have. She hates me. Which is so sad, because she’s fun to chase, but she knows how to go up and down stairs, and I can’t yet, so just goes up to the bedroom and hisses at me. Mom says she’s gonna scratch me if I don’t leave her alone, but I’m still trying. She’ll finally stay in the same room with me as long as I don’t look at her.
I also figured ou how to get treats anytime they are in the people’s hands. If I’m outside and they have a treat, I pee. And if they are inside, I sit. Perfect! and if they are across the room, I look at their faces. Instant treat. And they always talk to me with this silly baby voice after they give me a treat. " Good Potty!!!!", "Goood Siiiiiiiiit!", "GOOD Watch me!!!". Daddy says I’m ready for Puppy Kindergarten. That’s great, because I love dogs. My best friend is a rotweiler- chow mix named Joshua. He lives next door. On the first day I got home, I saw him in his yard and i started Barking and running toward him. I figured I had to show him just how strong I am. Joshua came over with his owner and a Milkbone. I kept barking, but Joshua just laid down and let me come right up to him. Now we take walks together. Did I tell you I can walk on a leash? Mom loves that trick.
I also went to the vet. He held me on my back, and I bit him. Someone should have told him who I am. He obviously didn’t know.He told Dad that I’m strong willed, and that we should do alot oftraining together to make me a polite dog. He said I have worms and an extra toe on my back feet. I also have a hernia- but mom already knew about that.
I go on Sunday for my first grooming appt. Mom’s excited because she said my nails are sharp. I’m kind of smelly right now anyway, so it good timing.
Hey – any one out there know what my mom can do so I’ll start to like my crate? It’s kind of aweful to go in there at night and while they’re at work. I bark and cry, but they can’t hear me. All my toys on there are no fun, because noone’s there to play with me. I fall asleep after 5 or so minutes of barking, but it makes Mom sad. Can you help her? Alright, well this is ridiulously long, and no one is ever going to read the whole thing, so … Mr. Big out.
