I miss her so much

Message from my mom: I was cleaning my car today and I found the papers from the vet from when we took Maya to be put down. It was a stupid bill titled 'euthanasia'. It just brought everything back, even though its been over a month. I miss her so much.

While those of us on earth mourn the loss of the one we love, those in Heaven at Rainbow Bridge are joyously saying "Welcome Home" ... Our thoughts are with you,

I received your friend request today and Gracie, Princess and I would love to be your friend.  We are so sorry to hear of your loss and continued pain.  There is nothing we or anyone else can say to ease that.  Go ahead and cry, cry, cry.  I still cry over my loss of Princess back in April.  My vet sent me a beautiful poem and I still remember Princess everyday and still cry a couple of times a week- especially when I read this poem hung in a frame near her picture- it just reminds me she is happy and I hope it does the same for you....

JUST THIS SIDE OF HEAVEN LIES THE RAINBOW BRIDGE.

When a beloved pet dies, it goes to the Rainbow Bridge.  It makes friends with other animals and frolics over rolling hills and peaceful lush meadows of green.  They are as healthy and playful as we remember them in days gone by.

Together, the animals chase and play, but the day comes when a pet will suddenly stop and look into the distance....bright eyes intent, eager body quivering.  Suddenly recognizing you, your pet bounds quickly across the green fields and into your embrace.  You celebrate in joyous reunion.  You will never again separate.

Happy tears and kisses are warm and plentiful, yours hands caress the face you missed.  You look into the loving eyes of your pet and know that you never really parted.  You realize that though out of sight, your love has been remembered.

You cross the Rainbow Bridge together.

Wags and licks.CrySmile and a tear and a smile.  For all your good memories that you will always have, in that place in your heart, that will always be full, even though it feels empty.  It will always be full because Maya resides there...no matter what.

It doesn't matter how long it has bee since her passing, those feelings will always be there. Somedays are better than others simply because there is often more life to cocentrate on in front of you. That good feeling is only temorary becase just like all good, worthwile things, they come to an end, just like Maya did. Ask yourself, would you have rather had a stuffed dog that looked just like Maya and would never get sick, fade and die, or would you rather have had the real flesh and blood Maya. Each day was pecious but knowing she won't always be there with you makes it even more precious. Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened. She gave you sooo much love that you miss her this much. That is a treasure. May we all leave such a legacy.
