My apologies, Kitsu is fine and I really should have followed up so as not to worry anyone, especially with all of the recent passings to Rainbow Bridge. In hindsight I would have titled my first blog differently so as not to alarm people. It sounded perfectly harmless until I visited the Rainbow Bridge group recently. Thanks again everyone for your concern, and as I mentioned on Facebook, Kitsu is doing his usual "Shiba 500" around the house and is more than fine. Feel free to friend us on Facebook by the way as well.
Also a lesson learned, keep all medication in the cabinet and take it over the SINK!! I felt horrible. I had a spinal fusion over 3 years ago after a car accident and I have medication that I take for chronic pain. I try to limit it to Advil as much as I can. I leave the Advil by my bedside as some mornings are very painful to the point that getting to the medicine cabinet is a huge deal. It is no huge deal anymore, the thought of losing a pet over something I could avoid will lessen that pain quickly.
I had taught both Kitsu and Suki "leave it". However, I made the mistake of praising them like crazy every month while they took their heartworm pills. Big mistake. Again, hopefully someone learns from my mistake and a tragedy is averted.
Again thanks for caring everyone, I really appreciate it.
