Woof, Woof everyone,

The thing I love most in the whole wide world is my family! Oh, how I love them and they tell me all the time how much they love me too.. I'm one lucky black lab to have such a wonderful, loving family! We live in Massachusetts & my grandparents live in West Virginia. It's a long drive, I know cuz we go to see them sometimes. But, they love me so much that they drive all the way up here just to see me & play with me! My Grams always brings me special treats that she keeps in a special container in the microwave. For some reason, no one feels it's safe to just leave them (or any food) on the counter.. OK, so maybe a few times I could not resist jumping up there to get some goodies (even if I know it's bad )!

I just love stealing socks & I'm really smart to! I even taught myself how to open the sock draw in the bedroom . Plus, it's great fun cuz I get to play "catch Shadow with the sock".. but for some odd reason, my family doesn't seem to get that this is suppose to be fun .When I can get away with taking one & keeping it, I just love to lay on the floor or the bed and play with it forever. It makes me feel just so wonderfull, as long as I don't get in trouble for it, which happens way more then I'd like! Heck, I have even been called a "bad girl" & punished for it. When I'm bad, they put me in the laundry room (and even make sure there is no laundry I can play with and close the door leaving me all alone! I have to admit, it does sometime make me think before doing something that I shouldn't do. Those are some of the longest 10 minutes of my life!  

They just don't get my passion for socks & I can't figure out why.. must have socks, must have socks, must steal all the socks. Especially if they just came out of the dryer!! Wonder if there is a 12-step program for this.. but then I'd actually have to try to give up my love for socks, so nope that's not happening!

I worry about my family when they go in the bathroom without me, plus I miss them so much for all that long time. Except when they go do that thing with the soap in the shower or bathtub, I want no part of that one!! I just know that if I'm not in there with them EVERY TIME, that they will jump out the window! Most of the time they let me come in with them when they arn't doing that evil yucky soap thing, but sometimes they close the door with me on the otherside! Oh, the horror of it!! So first I bump the bathroom door with my head to alert them that they made a boo boo & left me outside (in case they just forgot about me) and sometimes they open it and let me in, Yippee! But other times (and this one I'll never figure out), they actually even then don't open the door, so I sit there making my best crying noise till they come out. Oh, how I hate being alone without them!

We live in Massachusetts and it gets really, really cold here in the winter. I don't like the cold at all so my favorite thing to do is to lie in front of the fireplace! They keep telling me that labs are suppost to love the cold and it says so in all the books! They just don't seem to get the fact that I never learned to read!! Plus, even if I did read, it would be the sports pages for me,, just like my daddy and auntie! We love the Boston Red Sox Wooffff!!!!!

Dear Daddy,

I put this picture here myself so you can see it! This way, you’ll  know to make sure my fireplace is working & kept nice and warm for your little girl!!  My Auntie Kit made this pic for me! Boy, did she make me look cold! One of my doggie friends here at mydogspace.com said I look like a snowman.. or would that be snowdog??
