Thor came home with us from the Wal-Mart parking lot as an adorable 10 week old puppy.  He was a very special, loving and playful puppy.  We moved into a new house about 5 weeks after we got him and on the sixth week I fell down some stairs and shattered the ball joint of my hip.  It was shattered.  When I came home from the hospital, Thor kissed me until I couldn't breathe! He was soo happy mommy was home.   I had a LOT of pain and depression while recovering from that surgery and the only way I could truly get rid of the pain was to have Thor lay directly on my incision.  He quickly became my "heating pad", sitting on the couch beside me daily.  After I had recovered, there was a deep bond between Thor and myself and we were inseparable.  Everybody loved Thor.  While I was recovering, Dakota came into our family as a puppy.  Thor made friends with her and they became BFF's, playing and running together all of the time.  What a joy it was watching the two of them bonding and playing.  We were blessed with Thor for 3 years.  We moved into a house with a much larger fenced back yard 3 months ago and during the move, Thor got out and was killed by a car.  A wonderful good samaritan named Sheree saw him on the side of the road, took his collar and got in touch with us.  We got him and we now have his ashes.  I will always miss Thor but I am greatful to have had him in my life.
