My name is Jersey (or goat).

I don't remember very much about my young puppy-hood. I've been told that my first owner got very sick and couldn't take care of me so, I was then passed to family members ... who couldn't handle me either (BOY! was an energtic-handful).

I do remember ending up at the ASPCA in manhatten, where they had a difficult time finding me a home because I was very stubborn and difficult. After being returned by my first set of adoptive parents, I ended up being saved by a rescue organization, who specialize in finding home for "bully-breeds" or "difficult" dogs.

I remember the first time my mommy came to meet me, I was sooooooo happy, and I ran from room to room, jumped up on the couch, played some ball ... it was kool. But, I was a little nervous when I went home with her a few days later (because I missed my foster dad, and foster family).

With tons of help from my trainer, Mary-Ellen P. of Canine Cadre, in wallingford, CT. I am now very happy and proud to say that I have finally figured out what it takes for me to get along with my mommy (because SHE is the only alpha dog in the house). She tells me (ALL OF THE TIME) how proud she is of me, and she reminds me how far i've come.

Nowadays, my most favorite-est thing to do is cuddle, give kisses and cuddle a little more.

I also enjoy going to wanskuck park, chase farms and colt state park (for a swim).

I like to visit my grandma, and my greatgrandma because they give me all kinds of people food. For whatevere reason, my mommy insists that i'm a dog? But only my grandma and greatgrandma know that I'm a real-boy! The give me steak, chicken, cheese, fish, carrots, potatoes and force me to eat various other YUCK green vegetables ... ICK! (but i'll chow on them if they're smothered in butter).

Sometimes I go to doggy daycare, where I get to play with little dogs like myself. I've been told that i'm not really little, But i'm in denial ... and insist on playing with dogs that weigh no more than 20lbs. ... I'm a little-boy .. ya know?

Well, I am about to go watch the fireworks with my mommy... (it's the 4th of july)...
