Dog Blog: Introducing Myself

A place for dog lovers to get together and talk about their favorite subject: dogs. Plus we get to showcase our own dogs with beautiful pictures and videos. Does life get any better? Hi there. My name is Janet Roper, and you've probably already seen pictures of my two darling dogs, Emmie and Teddy. If not, I invite you to check out their photos. They are my constant companions, and have three cat siblings, Billy, Raven and Mitzie, and one really big brother they've only met a couple of times: my horse, Shiloh. I like to say I have the best job: I fiddle around and horse around. That means that I'm a musician (violinist) who teaches, performs and specializes in Music Wellness - using the healing properties of music in healthcare situations. I'm not a music therapist, but my music has therapeutic properties. My focus is performing in the elder care arena. When I'm not fiddling around, I'm horsing around. I am also a professional animal communicator who assists animals in balancing, tuning and deepening their relationship with their human companions. I say horsing around, but I work with all animals. Lately I have combined my two passions and I now offer Music Wellness for Animals. It's amazing to watch how the animals respond to music!
