T-Touch Day
Hello, Missi here again. Last Saturday Jamie took me to a Tellington Touch workshop, and apparently, I was the best behaved dog there! Jamie got me my own chair to sit on right next to her (I dont do floors dahhling) and I was good all day.
Jamie did some T-Touch on me and it felt very nice, then we walked about a bit.....I didnt quite get why we did that, and it got me off my chair, so that wasnt as fun.
At lunch time Jamie gave me some of her sandwich, and a crisp, and a strawberry. Strawberries are yuk!
On the way home, I threw up in her friends car.
It was a great day.
If any of your humans want to take you to see someone who does T-Touch then you should go,cos its nice. :)
Breed Legislation in Dublin
"Dublin City Council is to introduce a ban on eleven breeds of dog from properties including houses, flats and estates, with immediate effect. The breeds are: English Bull Terrier, Staffordshire Bull Terrier, American Pit Bull Terrier, Rottweiler, German Shepherd (Alsatian), Doberman, Rhodesian Ridgeback, Japanese Akita, Bull Mastiff, Japanese Tosa and Bandog. Cross-breeds of these dogs or crosses of these dogs with any other breed are also banned.
Owners will be given the opportunity to rehouse the dogs but if alternative accommodation cannot be found for they will be destroyed.
The council has taken the step to remove all "dangerous breeds" due to the increasing numbers of complaints from tenants and because of the legal implications associated with an attack taking place on one of its properties.
The ban initially applies to council housing and all public areas within council estates."
No consultation, no input from professional organisations, clearly no knowledge of breed type and absolutely no historic check on dog breeds that aggress the most.
Anybody who feels this is wrong should contact Mr Humphreys and any other politician you can think of. Not only have they banned these dogs in council areas, but Mr. Humphreys has also written to John Gormley looking for a nationwide ban, we have to stop this now before it goes any further.

Then, of course, there's John Gormley - Minister of the Environment who's got the ultimate responsibility.

Even if you are not in Ireland these nutters need to be TOLD that they cannot take away our Civil Rights ... we can own whatever dogs we like ... as long as WE ARE RESPONSIBLE DOG OWNERS!
Please e-mail them with different Subject: lines it'll keep them bemused for hours (and might not do their e-mail systems any good, either).
Email addresses for sending the emails:
If anyone needs an email or letter template to send, please email me back and I will send you one.
