Ghost
Male, 3 years, 1 months old.
Birthday: November 23, 2005
Breed: Boxer
Size: Large
"I'm the conehead of the family"

Nickname: Go-Go
From: Amish puppy mill outside of Des Moines, IA but live in Phoenix, AZ
Home Date: March 5, 2006

I was born a white boxer with a cyst on the top of my head. Oh, don't worry - the cyst does not hurt me. My mommy says, "It makes you unique honey". She took me to several doctors over the past 3 years and they all say, "If it does not grow in size, change shape or size, or start hurting we are better off leaving it alone. If we remove it, he has a very high probablity of losing his hearing or his eyesight". My mommy says, "It's okay honey, you look cute like that". Good thing I have this knob on my head too because last week a new neighbor moved in and he has a dog that looks just like me. My mommy was coming home from work and ran in the house yelling "Go-Go". Of course it sounded like she was hurt and needed my help. She dropped to her knees and hugged me saying, "Thank God you are here!". She put my leash on and we went down by the water and saw the ducks (we have a lake behind our house). When we were down there we say a dog running in the streets that looked just like me. My mommy said, "See - when I came home I saw that dog and thought you got out but if I would have looked close enough I would have seen that there was no knob on his head".

My mommy was all set to adopt a different white boxer from Boxer Rescue in Dallas but the guy changed his mind. My brother Cody, then 13 years old, was upset so they decided to go and visit his grandmother in Minnesota. My mommy said to Cody, "Everything for a reason - for some reason we were not meant to get the other boxer". During the drive to Minnesota from Texas, they made a wrong turn and ended up in Amish country outside of Des Moines, Iowa. It was December and very cold. Cody says, "Look mom!" and saw me tied to a tree with no shelter, no food, no water. Mommy pulled up into the yard and asked the people that tied me to the tree why I was there without shelter when the other 20 boxers (who were all brown) had shelter and food. The man told her "We are going to kill him because he is white". My mommy said, "You are white...". Then mommy asked him if I was for sale. The man tried to say "no" but mommy did not let him. She took out $150 from her purse, started to hand it to the man. The man said, "OK" but, before mommy would let go, she said "Once my son has that puppy in the truck safely I will let go". That's how they got me. Then she asked the man, "When was he born?" The man said "Last Thanksgiving Day". After my mom left she called and reported these people for their puppy mill; about 90 days later they called and told her that their mill had been shut down.

Guess how I got my name... you would think it was because I am white right? NOT! It's because that past Thanksgiving Day my mommy's brown boxer, Billy, died at the age of 11 years old. Because I was born the same day that he died, they named me "Ghost" as in "Billy's Ghost"... the fact that I am white is just an added bonus ;)

In my free time I am busy playing with my nephew - yes, my nephew - he is 2 year old Anthony and man is he two! I am so glad I don't have a tail - pulling on my ears is bad enough. I love that little rug-rat though. We share toys and bones when he comes to visit with his mommy and daddy ;)

Of course I am very spoiled. I have my own leather love seat (my mommy has cloth) but I also love to sleep with my mommy in her big, 8" pillow top bed. Of course because I am an abnormally large Boxer (about the size of a Great Dane), I take all the room. No worries - I do give my mommy about 6" of space - she can sleep on her side and perfectly straight all night can't she?

Since this is like my mommy's MySpace I assume this is also for networking. Therefore, since I never get a chance to play with any other 'furr people', if you live in the area and like to go for walks and want to come for play dates, let me know. I'm always up for smelling butts ! Oh, and so you know that smelling butts is not inherited (and strictly my past-time) please see my mommy at "Treyce (dot) com".

Happy drooling...
