Pop Is Getting Better
Things are getting better around here. Pop is getting a little better and can at least get out of bed more and more often although he does have to go back for naps. My brother, DogStar and Lady Belle have been out to see me a few times. Their visits help me play off a little of the energy and frustration I have been feeling. I'll just be gland when things get back to normal around here. I like my usual routine. Like, Pop is supposed to feed me but now Mom is doing it. Some how the food doesn's taste as good when she puts it in my bowl. I don't know why that is but I just can't eat as well when she does the feeding. Here's hoping we'll be seeing better days around here soon.

It Sure Is Dull Around Here
Well all I can say is,it sure is dull when one of your best friends isn't feeling well. Pop had his 3rd back surgery 2 weeks ago. Since then he has been in real pain. He was in pain before this last surgery but it is really bad now. Mom's back isn't doing well either. She has been going to PT for months but it got worse when she was running up and down a long hall to take care of Pop. It seems those two are so close that they can't even have seperate pains LOL. I know they are both having a hard time but I need some PLAY time. Anyone know a 14 or 15 year old boy willing to come out and play with me. I am an old dog and not in real good shape any more so,I don't play as hard as I did when I was a pup. I don't think it would be too hard to wear me out these days.
That yellow lab across the street seems to be on vacation so I don't even have him to bark at. The UPS truck did show up yesterday and again today. That was exciting for a few minutes but it didn't last long enough. Mom and Pop won't let me out until it is gone, so I only get to bark at the truck going down the street. When Lady Bell comes for a visit she doesn't feel like playing much. There once was a time, when we were both younger and before she started chemo, that we would run and tussle until we were exausted and the back yard grass was a real mess. I love her visits anyway. She is such a sweet lady.
I hate to complain but my life is just so dull right now. We were going to the Farmers' Market this morning but Pop just didn't feel like the drive. I was really looking forward to that. Poor Pop. I am sure hoping he gets better soon. Life just isn't the same without our tug-of-war every night.

Adopt a Bull
Pete and I, Geneva, are going to start our Blog off today. This blog will be just about anything that interests us and/or what we think others might enjoy knowing or need to know about.
We'll start off with something that was sent to us. Some of you pit bull owners may already know about it but the ASPCA is starting a contest to encourage adoptions of pit bulls. Pete is just so happy about this he wants to share it with everyone.
Check it out here.
