Hello, all! My name is Gallo (amongst other variations) and I am a lova. Lova of life, lova of food and lova of the park.

Mom really helped me out about 7 years ago. I originally belonged to her ex-boyfriend's brother, who gave me to his parents to take care of after his relationship ended. The parents kept me in a basement & banged on the floor or door when I would bark (I get over-stimulated easily  and hate sudden, loud noises!). After I chewed up a rug, I was bound for the great sleep. OH NO! Luckily, mom found out and ~ eventhough she had just started fostering 2 other dogs from the APL ~ she took me in immediately with great fevor (sadly giving the other pups back to the APL) and gave me a wonderful home where I can sleep on the couch during the day, walk in a park close by and bark at squirrels all I want! Although I am still a little tweaked by my experiences when I was young, I am happy to say that I have much love in my heart AND I rock. And let me just throw this out there ~ I love smooches and if you want to cuddle... I'm down for that!

I'm getting older and my hips hurt sometimes. There are moments when I'm a little moody because of my hips ~ but mom loves me anyway. Unfortunately, I encounter steps whenever I leave the house to go outside, to go to the park, or to go up to bed. So mom, being mom, had a ramp made for the outside of the house & put down carpet on the inside linolium stairs so my footing would be more stable and I wouldn't tweak my hip if I slipped. It's good to feel loved.

I shed like no one's business!! Summer AND winter time. Brush me for an hour ~ there's still more. =) Shedding is like me giving you tiny pieces of love. Mom is covered in my love almost on a daily basis! She doesn't mind so much and thinks of me as she picks the hair off her clothes. Soooo... if you come over and sit down, chances are that you will leave with some of my love for you as a momento of your time in my home.

I love barking at squirrels. Sometimes mom will take me to the park & we'll just sit quietly in a space where we get to watch 4-5 squirrels at a time. She won't let me chase or bark at them because I'm in their home, but it is still AWESOME!

Evol Lynn is my adopted sister. We like to chase each other around the yard. I'll tell you... when she first entered my life, I was wondering what this little gremlin was!! But after getting to know each other for a couple of hours I gave her a lick on her noggin' to let her know that she was okay in my book. =)
