I always wanted a German Shepherd.Ever since I was in 3rd grade.I loved their beauty,brains,loyalty,etc...Well, I got into conformation and my dog Shortdog was a little too overweight and old to succeed in the conformation world.So, my dad said I could get a puppy,and considering my mom is not much of a dog person,I was looking at small breeds,such as the chihuahua,pomeranian,miniature pinscher,etc.But then I tried other breeds such as the doberman,great dane,and scottish deerhound.I think I was just looking for something different.Labradors,for example, are too common.So, one day my dad asked me if I could have any breed what would it be and I told him German Shepherd.So, I looked in the classifieds for a week or so until I finally found an ad advertising large AKC german shepherd puppies and so the next day we went to go look at the pups and Jackson just caught my eye.He was the prettiest,most active/playful,etc.So, we got him and he's been a joy ever since.He was 6 weeks old at the time.He's a big,80 pound 1 year old now.He has just amazed me.I have him doing all sorts of tricks such as over which is where he jumps over something and I got him jumping through hoops :D He also knows turn, weave through my legs,speak, and we're working on shake along with a few other things.I should have him trained in  no time because he's a genius.I want to get him into agility, theatre, birthday party entertainment,and maybe get him a mascot job.I am so proud of him.

Shortdog is the dog I've grown up with. He's been around during all the important things in my life.He's ten year old now, I hope he'll get to see me graduate.He's always been a happy dog--a tail wagger definitely. He eats well,too...typical dachshund :D

I love Shortdog so much.He's a retired show dog,too!He was in one show and did well.

He's also very smart. I had him doing tricks, but not for a while now...he doesn't seem too interested anymore.

Snoopy is a great dog. He's smart, affectionate, and just an all around great dog.I think the only downside to him is that when outside, he won't come when called.I guess his previous owners never worked onthe little thing called "recall".

I have him doing all sorts of tricks (see below).We won 2nd place in the best trick contest at the Dog Daze of Hendersonville, which is an annual festival for dogs...it's fun :D  Anyway, we won that on April 26, 2008. I had him shake, turn, and roll over.

I found him wondering around out neighborhood and he had a rabies tag from 2005, so we called the vet and asked them to look up the number to see who he belonged to, and turns out the owners moved so nobody could reach them...he's been ours ever since. I think he was kind of abused in his last home. He's very skiddish and shy and hates his paws being touched.

Anyway, like I said, Snoopy is a great dog:)
