Zorro goes to the Rainbow Bridge
Zorro, a 13 year old BIG mixed breed went to the Rainbow Bridge this afternoon. He was a friend of ours. He was old, very arthritic, and in perilous shape. His mom and dad did what they had to do after putting it off for weeks. Another friend of mine was there to help Zorro over the threshold. Think of Zorro tonite, he was a big ole sweet boy!
His mom and dad got him as a small pup from the shelter thinking he would be a midsize dog, but he surprised them,, he grew to way over a hundred pounds and had a fantastic life.
Think of him waiting on mom and dad at the rainbow bridge.
Love Lady Belle!
PS, ZORRO DID grab life by the tail and he DID hang on tight!!
I changed my main page music in honor of Zorro,,,,,Dad and my tribute to a great DOG!

Tell Zorros mom and dad we are very sorry for their big bear of a dog and yes we will think of him. There is always room in the heart for the loss of another beloved family member.

We'll say a special prayer for Zorro's family tonight. We're glad he was one of the lucky ones...to have found a forever home where he was happy, loved and well taken care of. He's better now and waiting on his family.
Rest In Peace Zorro!

Dear Lady Belle ~ No matter how long they're given, it never seems long enough, does it? While death seems like a waste, it is part of "the deal", life can not exist without it. Package arrangement ~ non negotiable.
My first "child" (as an adult) was a black lab shep mix, I rescued from the pound. Casey lived to almost 17 years. I ended up helping her make her peace, (similar conditions, her poor body was giving out, system by system). Zorro's family released him from pain and this Earthly plain. His spirit, love and memory will NEVER go away. We hope you, and Zorro's family rejoice in 13 long and happy years of a fantastic life. THAT is a wonderful blessing.
