My Blog Entry
At the vet today... im saddened.
Chopper went to the vet today to get his nails cut.
He is just too strong and wiggly for mama to do it at home.
While we were waiting for our turn to be seen, a lady came in with her 8 month old chihuahua wrapped in a towel.
She sat a few seats away from me and we started chatting.
Her dog had been pregnant (intentionally)and the pups had died, and rotted inside the dog!
After the remains of the pups were surgically removed, the dog was left with sepsis. She has not eaten since her surgery and was there at the vet today to get IV fluids for dehydration.
This beautiful little dog couldnt hold its eyes open.
The lady was also telling me that everytime one of her chihuahuas has puppies her husband falls in love with all of them and keeps them.
Im very sad for that little dog tonight.

Ugh...that is sad. I hate going to the vet cause I always see something so sad. One time this guy came in and his puppy was so sick, it was crying out and drooling and Oh my god , the line was so long and no one would even let him ahead. I got up out of my seat and said to the vet gals, this puppy is very sick right now, and needs help, they took them in the back right then. Some people just make me mad, that they would not want to loose there spot in line, for a pup who was very ill. Well anyway, always something sad there. I hope that little dogs gonna be ok. That had to be so hard for you and mom
. I just don't get people. The whole breeding thing makes me sick, but the pup was EIGHT MONTHS OLD????? Her owner intentionally got her pregnant? What kind of inhumane person breeds a puppy? I hope the Vet was capable of telling this woman that her dog must be spayed, and at the least that she should never EVER breed a dog who is that young. No matter what is said, someone like that will repeat this cruelty again and again.

You should be, poor little dog, sometimes owners who 'love' their pets have the oddest way of showing it, just be thankfull we have good mums and dads who love us and care for us..unconditionally Chopper!! and maybe spare a thought for that poor little dog and hope that somebody talks to her owners about neutering/spaying...really sad and you and your mum had to watch..give yourself a big hug from us.
