I found Decimus through a search for German Shepherds on the internet.  That is when I noticed that I was seeing a number of Black German Shepherds.  They are beautiful. My previous dogs and cats always seemed to be be black so I guess it makes sense that I liked the Black GSD.

I called the Black Bear Mountain kennel and spoke to the owner and he seemed very helpful and he had a litter that was going to be born in the following week.  It was really hard to wait but finally the day came when he said I could get my puppy.

I sent a friend down because I couldn't get away and he brought Decimus back from Tennessee and he has been a wonderful part of my life ever since.

Decimus is one of the nicest dogs I have ever met.  He is loving and obedient and was very easy to house train.  He likes meeting other dogs and people and has a best friend, Jax, who is another Black German Shepherd we met through puppy pals on Dogster.
