Hi My name is Riley and I'm about 9 or so they say. My mom came into the SPCA looking for a pal after she lost her beloved Bear to Cancer the previous month. No one knows what my life was like before I came to the SPCA. My previous people said I was a good dog and house broke.

I'm pretty laid back and I love to just lay around outside and watch the world go by in my fenced in back yard. But if I get out, I can run like the wind. And I'm smart enough not to get caught right away. So thats why Mom fenced in the back yard. She got tired of chasing me down. I had fun but I guess she didn't.

I'm quite the independent guy, I'm not too affectionate either, but we are working on that. And I'm getting better, I love belly rubs, I had no idea what they were when I first met my mom. But now, I can't wait to get one. And my mom is the best, I have arthritis in my back legs and hips and every day she gives me a very gentle massage on my legs and  hip and it feels so good.

Hey all, My name is Jake. My mom rescued me from Petfinder.com. She thought Riley wanted a friend, and she loved the Rottweiler breed and went looking and saw I needed a home really bad. This lady named Kathy was fostering me, but I was such a terror that she couldn't keep me in her house with her other dodgs. So I had to live in a kennel.

Well, I was a terror when Mom got me. I was so happy to be around people that I forgot any manners I had ever been taught. I shoved everyone out of the way cause I wanted all the attention. The first year was very trying on my poor Mom and Riley too. Mom got some bad advice first time around and me and Riley got into a couple fights and poor mom was about pulling her hair out. we now have to be seperated when we are outside. We do fine in the house, but get a little too excited outside. I do anyways.

I've come a long way in the 3 years I've been with my Mom. And I want to make her proud of me so I'm trying my hardest to behave, but sometimes its really hard. I just love people, they are the best thing since sliced bread in doggy speak, they always are good for a belly rub, or even a scratch on the head.

I just love laying on mom's feet and if she goes somewhere then I follow (hey you never know, there may be food involved).

I love to play fetch and my soccer ball is my favorite, although I get discouraged when its frozen in the winter and I can't get my teeth into it. My next favorite thing is tennis balls. I love to run them down and I've even caught a couple in mid-air. Mom was so excited when I did that.
