We were in a Cinco De Mayo parade today at Astrid's!
A parade how fun!! And a pawtie too!! Arooooooooo-hoo!!

Happy Pets Parent Day
Happy Pet Parents Day everybody!! We had a good day with our Mom & Dad. In the first pic we started our day off by going with a walk with our Mom. That’s how we help keep her healthy. We walk our property, the neighborhoods and the hills. In the second and third pics we are helping Dad move and plant some cactus in our yard after our morning walk. It’s dirty fun work and we like it!! After that Mom took us to the pet store and she really splurged on some toys, beds, chewies and clothes for us!! Yahoo!! She says we can not try on the clothes or get on the beds until we have showers. That a bummer we say! But in the last two pics she did put a blanket on the bed and let us have the chewies and the toys. Then after that we went swimming in the pool a whole bunch and helped Dad out some more in the dirt. I guess we do need a shower now!!
Mom said that she will have Dad get a good pic of all of us together soon. He was busy today. Now we are going to go read about what happened today at the party at Zack and Quincy’s page.

Dyed dogs, what do you think?
I was at a Pet-a-Palooza event a couple weekends ago and there was a ton of dyed dogs running around. The people from The Pink Poodle who did the dye jobs, told me that it is the same stuff they use on humans. I’m not sure what to think about it, what do you think??? Give me some barks!
Stop this Dog Artist!! Wants to starve dog to death!!
In 2007, as part of an DOG art exhibition, Guillermo Vargas took a dog from the street, tied him to a rope in an exhibit, and let him starve to death as people watched. Video of the dog can be seen here:

Our contest event, how it went
Well today was the big day. We (hubby, Joj-Gee and me) got all gussied up and went down to the park where the wag-a-tail walk-a-thon was being held and the Polished Pooches modeling contest. There was a gazillion dogs and people there, like wow!! I would love to be able to say that Joj-Gee placed first in the judging contest, but she placed last, Eeeek!!! The “modeling runway” was held on the sidewalk/grass, just inches away from all the dogs and people and Joj-Gee freaked out and froze up. I had to pull and coax her to even walk a few steps. That cost us all our points!! Poor baby, had big time stage fright! This is the dog that is usually straining at her leash to sniff everything and everyone. But there is still a sunny side to this, Joj-Gee received a very cool pet “house” bed. It has a pink roof and it is oh so soft. It was heavy and stuffed full of all kinds of things for Joj. From leashes and toys, goodies and books, to you name it, it was in there. AWESOME!!!! She also got a $50 gift certificate to Petco and a trophy. Plus we got all kinds of freebies from the sponsers! We really made out BIG time!! They also served a very delicous lunch! So all in all it was still a very good first experience for Joj-Gee. We are going to have to work on the stage fright thing. I will post pics in our photo’s. Thanks once again to all of you that voted for Joj-Gee!!
