Mommy took me to work today
Yeah, Yeah, the crate is fine, I like the crate … but … I LOVE going everywhere with Mommy. Today she took me to work. Oh Happy Day ! She works as a gardener and takes care of a 7 acre garden on a mansion property. Oh Happy Day, it’s a doggy paradise ! There used to be a moat around this property and the walls are still up. There is a waterfall that splashes down with a bunch of Canadian geese swimming in it. NOT FOR LONG <evil grin> That’s what I’m for ! I sailed right over the wall. Sure it was over 10’ to the ground below – but – who cares !? Mommy thought I’d be the height of a dachshund after that. Silly girl, did she really think I’d stove all 4 of my legs and only be 6 inches tall ? Oh Happy Day ! The receptionist likes to cook and made chilli for lunch. ( The mansion is now a business ) Did I mention that I love chilli ? Yum. The back yard is really big at the mansion so I got to run around like the redheaded maniac that I am. Every body petted me and told me how beautiful I am. Since I don’t bark much, I didn’t bother anyone while there were trying to work. Did I mention the squirrels ? Let me tell you a thing or two about squirrels ! Dumb, dumb, dumb. Just wait until next time, I’ll shimmy up the tree and get you, you little stinking furball. Lucky Mom grabbed my harness when she did, but that’s OK, I can stand up on two legs and run with the best of ‘em. Oh Happy Day ! I rolled around in the grass and scratched my back and took a nap in the sun and walked to the compost pile up the hill. Can I go again tomorrow ? Huh? Huh ? Huh ? Can I? Can I ? Oh Happy Day !

Holy Dane Muffins, Curly...you got to run loose on seven acres...no lead? Wow, you are some lucky dog. Watch out for them geeseses, they are really mean, could poke your eye out. Chili? for lunch? That would give me a case of the never ending Dane Muffins, boy I wish I could eat chili, smells sooooo good. All that hamberger, mmmmmmmmmm!!!! Gotta learn to outsmart your human, pulling squirrels out of trees sounds like heaven to me, we gots lots of squirrels in the oaks surrounding our neighborhood, and when I meet them on the walks I have to leave them alone, what's the matter with humans anyway. Gardening is fun, I help my mama all the time, well let's put it this way, I dig the holes where I think she should plant something, but she doesn't like the places I pick out, so she covers it in, tells me no, and digs a hole somewhere else. Right now I am working my 'trimming skills' on the two apple trees, I just about have the bottom branches whittled down to size, and being as big as I am, it won't be long before I get to the four foot mark...I'd love to help your mama anytime.

YIKES sounds like you had a blast!! Oh boy aren't those squirrels something? Yeah over here they run up the tree on us too! We go to work everyday with mom also, but she works from home.
