Can anyone tell what I might be ?
Hi All
At the Humane Society I was listed as a "mixed breed". Until my Mommy saves enough of her pennies to order a Doggy DNA breed ID test on me, I’d like to know what YOU think I might be. I kinda look like a German Pinscher, a little like a Hungarian Vizsla, a little like a Rhodesian Ridgeback( you should see my mohawk when I get riled up ) A blend of Beagle and Lab perhaps, a little like a Besenji. I am 22" high at the shoulder and weigh about 40 pounds. I am rust colored with white markings ( wheaten almost ) on my chest and neck. I rarely ever bark. I am deceptively strong and have a great deal of stamina. Some of my toenails are rusty and some of them are black. My folks call me Curly because when I am real happy my tail curls up like a Princess Leah Bun. My hair is very short and very silky, I don’t shed a whole lot. I don’t really smell bad either. My eyes and my coat are the same color of red / rust.
I’m a beautiful redhead who is nearly perfect in every way and I wouldn’t change a thing ….. It’s my Mom, she’s curious.
Any Ideas ?

Curly does your tail curl in the back like mine? Also your red coat and eyes are quite similar to mine. Check out my pics, my Mom thinks you may have some Shiba Inu in you ... no matter what your background, she thinks you are adorable!!

Mommy is still so embarassed about her faux paw...but she wants to make it up to you. She thinks we need to come up with a new breed just for you. She says you could have a contest and pick the one you want. How about a laprincesserougefrises (french words for red curly princess) or a Bellarossoricciutolacoda (italian words beautiful red curly tail) or a Superbemelancoliqueyeux (french words for gorgeous soulful eyes)? Things sound better in another language.

You are beautiful and that is all that matters! I am a Malinois and I get accused of being a mix breed all the time....I just don't worry about what humans think ....I just say........"I am Malinois HEAR me ROAR!--or watch my dust!" I am VERY fast and thats why I used to get to catch Bad guys! FUN!!

Hello Curly,
Hmmm we dont know much about different breeds. Maxwell is a purebreed Yorkshire Terrior, but me, well I am a Lab/springer spaniel mix as far as we know. Mom says she doesnt care she loves us both equally. We are both just happy to have a mom that loves us and a great family.
No matter what your breed we think you are a very handsome pup.

Those crazy humans get all wrapped up in KNOWING our exact canine recipes. And we ask, how many of them are really, truly purebreds?!
Curly, all that is important ~ really ~ it that you have a forever home & are loved; you are happy, healthy and well adjusted. The rest is all incidental. Have mom save, in case of (dog forbid!) an emergency. You are adorable and sweet, THAT is a breed, in itself!!
