Getting to Know You

Do you bark when someone knocks at your door?
No ! I am a dog of few words, when I do bark, it’s important, in the 3 months since I was adopted from the Humane Society, my folks have only heard me bark a handful of times
Do you sleep on your owner’s bed at nightime?
I start out there, but then move to my couch in the middle of the night, sometimes I go into the back bedroom and make a ‘nest’ on the old fashioned bed.
Are you mischievous?
I just love to put Kleenex boxes on the floor. If I can’t find a Kleenex box, I will snag a used Kleenex out of the trashcan and lay it on the floor next to the trashcan
Would Cesar Milan be proud of your owner or would have a few things to say?
Ceaser would say that my folks have a great deal of potential, they are still kinda of new at this, but they have read Ceasar’s book.
Do you have a best friend to play with?
I’m learning how to make friends. Mommy is becomeing calm assertive and that helps me with my manners. I still have fear agression, but I’m making a LOT of progress.
Do you get excited and jump around when your parent(s) arrive home or do you remain calm and cool?
I get too excited, if you catch my meaning, but we’re working on that. When I’m happy, my tail doesn’t just wag, it goes around in circles like a motorboat.
Does your Mom (or Dad) leave the tv or radio on when they have to leave you at home alone?
Yes, I don’t like being alone. Usually they take me with them everywhere they go, but when they can’t, I always hear talking in the background and that helps.
Do you like other dogs besides your pals?
I like dogs that are with their Mommy, I don’t like dogs that are with their Daddy as much.
Do you like cats?
Cats, Schmats. I can take ‘em or leave ‘em
What is your most unique habit/characteristic?
Hummmm, besides the Kleenex boxes and my tail whirling around like a propeller… Oh, My folks and I have conversations, I groan;they groan. I say aw-aw-awwwwL;they say aw-aw-awwwwwL. I snort; they snort…. you get the idea
What is your favorite thing to do with your Mom or Dad?
Mommy and I walk every day for at least an hour. I also like to play
’ Stick " and I’m particularly found of ’ Sock’. It takes so little to keep me happy.
What proves that you are the alpha in your house (that you have Mom/Dad wrapped around your paw)?
My folks love me very much…. but, I am NOT the Alpha and that is very much OK.
