Puppy Dog Memories:Whitey
This is the second chapter to Cookie's Puppy Dog Memories collection:
Whitey is a small Chihuahua owned by my 6th grade friend. It was sometime around Christmas because the Christmas tree at my house was already assembled. Anyways, they were both at my house and Cookie doesn't really tend to get along with other dogs. I'm not really sure why, her adoption papers say she gets along with all dogs and humans. They were both running around in the living room sniffing each other in places that only dogs would sniff. Cookie ran into the Christmas tree and several glass ornaments came tumbling down and broke onto our hard tile floor. After I cleaned up their mess, Whitey was under the tree and Cookie, being a dog, wanted to sniff Whitey. Whitey lifted up his leg and... "went" on Cookie... on her nose. Guess Cookie learned a lesson that day, never sniff another guy.

Puppy Dog Memories:Jackson
Here is a collection of memories I have with my relationship with other dogs.
Jackson: The dog from across the street
Once, Jackson's owner came over to our house and offered for us to bring Cookie over to their house for the dogs to play together. I really wanted Cookie to meet new friends. So, we walked across the street to their backyard which was occupied with their daughter and dog, Jackson. Turns out that Cookie and Jackson have A LOT in common. They are both the same age, they were both adopted from the same place, and were adopted at the same age. They were running around the backyard with lots of energy, kinda like how when you meet someone in Kindergarten and five minutes later, you're playing like you have been best friends for years. It was the middle of summer and we live in Phoenix, Arizona, so yes, it can get very hot! Fortunately their house has a pool in the backyard. It's funny cause you would think that they would most likly go swimming in the pool right? WRONG! Cookie drank water from the pool instead and Jackson pushed her in! It was the first time she went in water completely and I was scared because I thought that she would drown but surprisingly she was able to swim to the edge of the pool.

Story of my cookies
Years ago, my sisters, my older sister's boyfriend and I were at a local park near our house. A young girl came up to us and offered us a dog, claimed he was a full bred German Shepherd. We immediately claimed him as our own. We named him Cookie, due to his tan fur and black muzzle. After doing some research we found out that he was NOT a German Shepherd but a Bull Mastiff. Personally, I thought he was one of the most loyal things in the world. He hated being alone and would now let anyone hold him but me. I have so many memories of him, from the day he ate my food when I put it down on the coffee table while getting utensils to the day he walked into the car. He lived with us for about 2 months until he started growing at a tremendous rate- up to a point where he was getting too big for our family and house and was faced to having to depart with the best dog in the world. We gave him to a local animal shelter (Arizona Humane Society) I was in tears for the next week or so. I felt as if I was being torn apart from my best friend. My dad promised me we HAD to get a new dog since it was so barren in our house without the playful energy of Cookie. Every single weekend my dad would drive me across town to the Humane Society where he let me pick out a dog of my own. I went every weekend but never found any dog with the same charisma and Cookie. Until the Saturday of August 6, 2005, I was at the Arizona Humane Society. I walked around a couple times and began to think that it was just another visit, where I found nothing. Until my dad pointed out another dog with the same tan fur and black muzzle as Cookie. For a second there, I thought I saw my bullmastiff Cookie, til' I noticed a small distrinction from them, the shape of their ears. I knew she was the one I wanted. In the car- I named her Cookie, in honor of my old dog. And also since they looked so alike. I have kept her ever since and she has been the best dog a girl could have
