Elvis is so much more than a pet to me. He is my four-legged child, my constant companion, my napping buddy, and so much more. Never in a million years did I ever believe a dog could steal my heart like he has. Before Elvis, I was more of a cat person. I've had Elvis ever since he was 8 weeks old. We went to puppy training classes when he was young so he knows a couple of commands but most of the time, he chooses to ignore them unless I have a treat in my hand. Like most beagles, he is ruled by his belly. As a result of too many treats, he's gotten a little pudgy. So we're trying to go to the dog park more often and take walks in the neighborhood. Hopefully this will help with his shyness too. Besides eating, he loves to sleep and he is the best snuggler ever. When it's cool at night, he likes to sleep under the covers.

wanted to thank you all for your thoughts, prayers, and kind words left for
Princess Gigi and her family. MDS is such a wonderful group of caring and
compassionate friends. Unfortunately, Gigi's daddy had another stroke this week
and passed away. Please keep this family in your prayers. If you would like to
send condolences, I'm sure they would be appreciated. Thank you all.

Many of you know the beautiful Princess Gigi. Her and her family are in need of all the love, support, and prayers you can send. Her daddy had several strokes over the summer, which is why they haven't been barking. I would like to pass on the latest email we received from Gigi's mom...
It has been a very hard few weeks. Ed is home now with hospice. They started
him on morphine yesterday for his pain. He has gotten very weak and lost a bunch
of weight. I don't think it will be long now and he will be in a much better
place. He will get to see our son again. Timmy was killed in a car wreck in
2004. Ed and Timmy were very close. Thanks for your thoughts and prayers. I
don't mind if you let the others know what is going on. If you get a chance I
would love for you to visit Timmy's website.

Are you having a good Sunday? It is pretty dull around here. Pop is still not feeling up to a tug-of-war. Right now I am trying to tell Mom it is time for ice cream. She'll get it sooner or later.
