Josie became part of our family on December 5, 2006.  I adopted her from the Kanawha Animal Shelter in Charleston, WV.  I had visited the shelter several times before I saw "the one"!  I didn't want to settle for just any dog I wanted to make sure that I got the right one and not jump the gun.  I knew that I would "know" when I saw the right one and on Dec 1 that happened.  I walked thru looking at all the dogs in their small kennels and then I saw her!  She was sitting in the back with her head in the corner scared to death.  I called for her to come to the door and right then I knew that she was exactly what I was looking for.  She wasn't avaliable for adopting that day because she had just been turned in so I had to wait 4 days, that was the worst 4 days!  Just knowing that my "baby" was sitting in that kennel all alone and scared just broke my heart.  I picked her up 4 days later and she has been a joy ever since.  My husband, Jamie, didn't really want a dog but now she is a total daddy's girl and he is head over heels about her. 

On February 27, 2008 Jamie and I welcomed our first child, Presley Jade, into our little family.  Josie and Presley are best friends.  Josie is so protective and Presley is constantly looking for Josie.  When she sees her she immediately starts smiling from ear to ear. 

We are so blessed and enjoy spending time with both of our girls!
