FIND THE PIT BULL!

Only one of the pictures below features the real American PitBull Terrier.Take the test and see how many tries it takes you to find it. To find the breed of a dog, click on the image. Note there are no mixes or rescue dogs of unknown background who's breed could be debated. All dogs have been picked from breeders' websites and should be good representatives of their breed.

When you are done, ask your family and friends to take to test and watch the results. For many people, a Pit Bull is a a big headed dog, or a dog with cropped ears. For some it's a brindle dog, a big, stocky dog, or one with an eye patch.
 




 

The American Temperament Testing Society shows a pass percentage of 84.1% for American Pit Bull Terrier.

By way of comparison, the Smooth Dachshund is at 70.2% pass rate, German Shepherd at 83.5%, and Border Collie at 80.3%.  
Quite often when dogs attack they are identified as Pit Bulls when they are not.

this is the problem with Breed Specific Legislation. there are 20+ breeds that are commonly incorrectly identified as pit bulls. I CANT STRESS THIS ENOUGH: Breed Specific Legislation or BSL effects every dog owner everywhere, not just bully breeds!! when BSL passes to law in your city and they come to take your puppy to euthanize her, do you have the correct papers to prove that she is a Lab mix not a Pit Bull mix?
