Baby Ruth
I'm going to pick up my new foster dog, Baby Ruth, on the 24th. She is a breeder surrender with crippled front legs and has been with the American Boston Terrier Rescue http://abtr.net since she was 13 weeks old. For a while we thought surgery might be an option, but the vet said this rare surgery (rare because breeders usually have dogs like Ruthie euthanized) would be very painful for her and carries only a 10% chance that it will do any good.
She gets along pretty well right now--obviously she can't run as she "walks" with her little puppy butt sticking up in the air and on her front elbows. We got a large donation to get a cart for her, so this will help her mobility outside of the house quite a bit.
