HEY!  I am Bourbon, an English Bulldog/ Bull Mastiff mix puppy.  4 months old, and I've got tons of energy. I just joined the home of my humans Maggie and James, in December.  After being with them for almost an entire month now, they've spolied me to no end.  It seems like almost every other day I get a new toy.  Mom lets me in bed with her, while she works on papers, and after I've eaten I get to climb in her lap and veg out.  I don't spend too much time veging, cause I love to play with my toys.  I am really mischevious little girl.  All the books say that bullmastiffs and english bulldogs are lazy, and not very active, well... that isn't true in my case.  Sometimes I get in these moods where I like to run back and forth reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaallllly fast, then I leap and hop around - I've done that since I saw the bunny rabbit a few weeks back.  

My favorite things to do are chase my toys, chew on towels, and cuddle in my humans' laps. I'm learning to eat slower, trying to learn how to walk on a leash, and go to the bathroom outside.  I am really having trouble with that last part tho.  Most of my potty issues are because I've had diahrreah since coming home with my family.  Mom doesn't know why I have, but we have been frequent flyers of the vet - we really ought to be awarded some points or something. 

One of my humans has some other dogs, who I want to meet.  Actually, I have met them.  Meeting them was exciting, so we've gone back several more times.  I am somewhat of a bully, I nip and bite, and act like I am the queen of the castle.  Of course the poodles are so laid back they really don't care.  Bucky, the oldest one, has started to growl and give me obvious cues that I need to be more obedient and submissive, but I think its fun egging him on. He was the first one I've ever barked at, in fact, the only one thus far.  I don't bark much, unless I am getting that old fart to play with me.  He isn't THAAAT old I guess, only 7years.  Since it has been so cold I haven't seen them in almost a week, I miss it.  After those visits I sleep nearly two days in a row - I tire myself out - and mom likes that.

Hopefully I will be starting some puppy classes in the next few weeks.  I really need to learn to come when called, even when there are distractions - as well as not to pull on my leash ( even tho I am still small, I am all muscle and can pull quite hard), also need to get some manners - I am somewhat savage still.  Mom isn't used to this, since her favorite dog ever ( winston, he poodle who died last march) was a very loyal, obediant animal. I am much more mischevious and less willing to follow rules and order.
