This is Boxcar, my purebred beagle. Boxie got her rather unique name because when she was born, she had a 'train' of spots all in a row on one side, and no other markings on her body except for the patches on her head and the base of her tail.

She is nine minutes younger than Mika, her older sister that we also own. They came from a litter of twelve from Branko's Feelin' Groovy - http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a78/Dember_/Animals/Groovy.jpg - sired by Foster's Bailey Boy - http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a78/Dember_/Animals/Bailey.jpg . This was their breeder's first litter, as well as the first litter that Bailey ever sired. They were born on January 20th of 2005.

As a personal opinion, I think Boxcar looks like the perfect mix between her mother and her father, depending on which way she turns her face. She was the only pup from any of her breeders' litters to have a patch over only one eye -- the rest had a patch over both, or only on their ears and not their eyes. If I had to pick another dog to compare her to, I would have to say she most resembles Simonson's T.J. Tracker, Bailey's father, who won first in hounds of the AKC's national dog show of 2003.

Boxcar, although lovable, prefers to recieve affection only on her terms. Though she will allow you to cuddle her if you demand it, she'd much rather be off in the yard or the rest of the house, doing her own thing. She's a lot more independant than her sister, and far more cautious, though once you get her to trust you, you've made a lifetime friend.
