On a cold October afternoon, I came into the world underneath an abandoned trailer in Yakima, Washington. That's why my mommy calls me her little redneck baby. My brothers and sisters and I were found by a nice lady from the shelter and she took my doggy mom and us to a foster family that had a farm. There were horses and cows and a pig named Oscar! One day in December a black car drove up through the snow to my house and two smiling people came up to our gate. I was real excited and was glad that I had just peed in the corner or I would have right then and there. They walked up to our little doghouse and I had to run fast to be the first one they saw. I heard them tell the foster lady that they had come to see Belle. My tail wagged and wagged, I was Belle! My new mommy leaned down and picked me up and wrapped me into her warm coat. She covered me with kisses and said that I smelled like hay and horse manure and it reminded her of where she grew up. My new daddy kissed me too and then they put me in their warm car on a new bed with red checkers and a new green toy. I was so excited! But soon I got real tired on the drive back to Seattle and fell asleep, even when they stopped at the Artic Circle to get some chicken. (I LOVE chicken). Then we pulled up to this neat building with lots of lights and it was warmer than where I used to be. Everyone was sleepy so Mommy and Daddy set me down on a fluffy bed in a big crate thing so I could sleep. I started to whimper so they laid a blanket down outside the door and laid their hands in on my bed so I could sniff them til' I fell asleep. The next day I woke up and saw all these COOL toys, and they were just for ME! I missed my brothers and sisters, but Mommy and Daddy told me they were all adopted like me just a few days later. That made sense, cause we were all pretty cute. A few weeks later, my Grandma Karch sent a HUGE package to us and it was a BIG bed with my NAME on it! I was so happy, I knew that I had finally found my real family.
