Best of luck to you!!! Fifty years is a LONG time, but we just know that you're going to LOVE Kentucky!! We'll be thinking of you and wishing the best of everything! It sounds like your new life will be just GLORIOUS with all that land, and Mom home with you... you're pretty dog lucky! Tell your Mom not to be too sad, my mom moved away from Iowa after living there for 27 years, and it was real sad for her, but now that's where she gets to go on vacation and it's always SUCH a wonderful time! It's like instead of living in Florida and going to places like Kentucky for vacation, now you can live on vacation and go home for a break! It's gonna be great!

We got news for you Georgia.  You're gonna have to wait a while for that snow.  We live in the neighboring state of Illinois, and we don't have ANY.

Don't be nervous!  We think you'll really like it!  And yes the dogs do wear nail polish in these parts.

Kentucians are a fancy bunch of folk, with all the hunts and horsie stuff. You will fit in just fine in the upper crust of society, afterall you were trained by  Miss Astrid herself. Hey, if even the horses in Kentucky have their manes and tails intricatley braided, so of course dogs will wear nail polish. I can't wait to see you in the fancy hat you will wear to the Kentucky Derby...why if the Queen ever comes back again, you will be asked to sit in her very own private box.

Me and mama hope your whole family have a safe and wonderful trip. Mama has lived all over the world and she says it's a piece of cake, you will make more friends and keep all your old ones as well. Mama still emails friends she hasn't seen in 20 years in England, so you won't loose touch will all your friends in Fla.
